GUN SHOT

2070 Words
"Where's the gun?" Jungkook asked going straight to one of the bedrooms. "Jungkook! Calm down," Namjoon called out after him. The commotion made everyone's heartbeat race. That was the first time they saw Jungkook on panic mode. After a few minutes, Jungkook finally went back to the living room, gun on hand. "Are f*cking crazy?" Hoseok bellowed but Taehyung held onto Hoseok's shoulder preventing the man from stopping Jungkook. "Let us at least come with you," Taehyung offered but Jungkook -- without any second thoughts -- Jungkook shook his head in disapproval. "No, no, no," he turned to Aimee, "you guys find out where Jimin is. I'll go alone." "But--," Jin was about to spoke but the youngest cut him off. "We have no time for this Hyung," and with that, he stormed outside to go to you. --- "Y/N," Jungkook mumbled under his breath as he grip tighter on the stirring-wheel. He stepped hard on the pedal, going faster than he ever did before not minding the loud honking of the cars he passed by. He knew that something's not right, he could feel it inside him like blood flowing into his veins. He won't forgive himself if anything happens to you again. "F*CK!" he punched the stirring-wheel out of anger and fear. The car tires squeaked as Jungkook abruptly stopped in front of your apartment building. Looking from the outside, everything seemed normal and peaceful but Jungkook didn't let that fooled him. He rushed to the lift clicking your floor's number and waited for the familiar bell sound just as the elevator's door opened. It seemed like forever but now he finally stood in front of your wooden door. Everything seemed still and silent. He fished his spare key from his right hand pocket and slowly, very slowly pushed the key in and turned it, careful not to make too much noise. Just as he entered the living room, his hand voluntarily gripped on the gun behind his back, tip-toeing his way towards your bedroom as he held his breath just as he turned the cold steel knob of the bedroom door around. --- "Jungkook's right," Taehyung broke the silence enveloping the room moments after Jungkook had left. "Everyone." He gestured for the others to take their seats and everyone followed. "What happened after the party Aimee?" Namjoon asked after everyone was settled. Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi were seating on the leather couch adjacent to Aimee's, all eyes were on her as they watched her every movement, from the lowering of her gaze on the floor to the biting of her lips due to the uncomfortable sense she was feeling. Taehyung who was seated across the girl looked at her closely. He was getting impatient. "Look, we don't have enough time for your dilly-dalliying, start talking now." Aimee looked up meeting Taehyung's eyes. The shock on the guys' faces couldn't be contained, seeing Aimee's streaming eyes as she started to spoke. "I told him to go away," she buried her face on her hands, sobbing so hard that it was almost impossible to understand what she was saying, "and he told me that, if that's what I want then he'll go." Everyone shifted from their seats, Hoseok who was leaning on the arm rest of the couch where Taehyung was seated, stood up straight. "I'm sorry," she pleaded, "it's all my fault." "Yes it is," Yoongi said, his voice was low and shaking as if he was trying to cage the anger inside him that was threatening to breakthrough. "Think hard Aimee," Namjoon started, "where could he possibly go to?" She sniffled, looking around the people surrounding her. They were all burning their eyes on her, eagerly waiting for her answer. *** "It's calming isn't it?" Jimin whispered near her ear as he hugged her from the back. Aimee nodded slowly while looking straight to the ocean in front of them. The sea reflected the twinkling stars above them with the full rounded moon on the center. Though the wind was cold, she felt warm as Jimin protected her with his embrace. He rested his chin on her shoulder while she closed her eyes savoring the moment. "If you ever feel like giving up on life, go here and just listen to the calming sound of the waves as they rush to the shore," he placed a soft kiss on her temple and he added, "it'll give you tranquility and help you think properly." Aimee's eyes opened wide as she remembered that scene. "I think I know where he might be," she said. They rushed to the country side, leaving the bright, shimmering city lights behind them and headed for that small bungalow house by the sea shore that Jimin usually visits. "It's me now," Aimee said to the men behind her as they saw Jimin's back on them while he was engraved to the calm movement of the waves before him. Aimee slowly approached the person she just hurt a few days ago. With all honesty? She actually didn't know what to say to the guy, all she know was that, she needed to be close to him, she needed to see his face and made him feel the love that he deserves all these time. It was cold as she hugged her own frame trying to minimize the breeze touching her exposed skin. Just a few more steps before she could reach him but she didn't had the courage to actually go even closer. To touch him. Instead she stopped three feet away from Jimin and looked at him for a few good seconds before she spoke. "Jimin--." "Funny isn't it?" he cut her and a chill went up to her spine, it felt like ages since she last heard his beautiful voice, and it made her almost want to hug him tight, but she stopped herself. His voice was thin like it used to be. His tone was serious but still calm at the same time, but that didn't mean Aimee should be assured yet. Jimin let out a single chuckle before continuing, eyes still fixed on the vast ocean in front. "Sometimes, the person that you'd take a bullet for is behind the trigger." {A/N: Yeps, that's right. I just quoted Fall Out Boy, got a problem with that? xD hahaha!} And just with that single sentence, a tear finally let loose from Aimee's eyes followed by a silent whimper as the saline liquid started to pool down her cheeks. "Please forg--." "You know I love you," Jimin said calmly while turning around to face Aimee. It was painful for him to see tears on her eyes. Those familiar pain on her eyes reminded him of the days when she seek his help and comfort whenever she felt down because of her family's problems. Realizing that she was now hurt and broken and crying because of him made it felt like his heart was being squeezed into nothing. He wanted to hug her tight, but there's still this towering wall in between them that he wouldn't be able to tore down if it was only him doing all the work. Jimin's brows knitted together, trying his best to keep his composure and trying to prevent the tears to escape his lids. "I --," Aimee stopped, she haven't said those words to anyone yet, and the lump on her throat made it even harder. He sighed bitterly. Jimin knew that she wouldn't be able to say those words for he had already waited so long but still... None. "I thought so," he said walking towards her. She stiffened as she looked into his eyes, he appeared to be strong but she know him too well. Those dark orbs of his were sad and in pain as he looked away and continued to walk pass her. She followed him with her gaze, panic was starting to rose inside her. She couldn't just let him leave again like that. Holding on the fabric of her jeans, fisting on it while she drew a deep breath. She finally let out. "I love you Park Jimin." And he stopped. His back was on her but she noticed how immobile his frame was, like a statue just standing there without breathing. --- He looked at you with those blood shut eyes and you could already see the plans he had for you. You got away from him before and you just knew that he wouldn't let you go off that easily this time around. The man started to get close to you and with just a few steps he was already at the side on your bed, just staring down at you with a smile plastered on his face like a psychopath that he is. Pulling out a syringe from his pocket, he swiftly plunged it on your deltoid muscle that had you whimpered silently due of the stinging sensation. Right after pulling out the needle, your shoulder felt heavy as the drug spread through your veins. His right hand carefully made its way towards your face to touch it. Shutting your eyes tight, you held your breath waiting for his filthy hand touch your skin. Every second seemed like forever while you made a fist and pulled onto the rope tightly tied on your wrist. The stinging sensation burned on you, feeling your bruised skin brushed against the rough surface of the rope as it dug onto your flesh causing tiny patches of blood to breakthrough from them. "Get away from my wife!" Jungkook's voice suddenly echoed inside the room and your eyes darted open. He was standing by the doorway pointing the black colored gun on you abductor. You saw the man's shocked expression as he stood up properly, raising his hands on either side of his head. The shock expression was soon replaced by that evil smile once again as he slowly approached Jungkook. Your husband did the same, walking carefully towards your direction, watching the man's every move as he pointed the gun on him. Soon they were just a few feet from each other, with the gun as their barrier, you could feel your insides turning as you watched the scene in front of you. Though Jungkook had the upper hand since he was holding a gun, that didn't make you any less uneasy with the situation. That man he's facing had killed people you wouldn't be able able to count on your fingers. He's trained, more experienced than Jungkook, and maybe even strong. So when he swiftly swung his hand on the air, purposely knocking the gun out of Jungkook's hand, --you were not surprised. But the great sense of panic made your whole body went numb. You wanted to call out for Jungkook but you couldn't. Instead a loud gasp escaped your throat as Jungkook threw a solid punch on the man's face immediately tinting the side of the man's mouth with blood. Your abductor didn't waste any second as he let his knuckles met Jungkook's abdomen making your husband jumped a bit due to the strong impact. Jungkook coughed off a little bit of blood but he still pushed a smile on his angelic face when he saw you looking at him with teary eyes. I'm okay baby. You could almost hear him say it through his beautiful orbs. You were in pain just seeing him getting beat up. But the ache on your head was starting to worsen, you shut eyes for a second hoping that the pain would vanish but it didn't. When you opened your eyes, you saw how both of them tumbled on the floor with a loud thud, both reaching for the gun that had fell on it moments ago. You couldn't get a better view due to your current situation and you were starting to get light-headed. The man was on top of Jungkook, the gun was in between their bodies which made it impossible to see where the weapon was pointing to. You heard Jungkook groaned. The ache on your head was killing you. The man punched Jungkook and your husband grunted in pain. You couldn't helped but to close your eyes, your breathing was getting ragged. And then you hear the horrifying sound of a gun shot followed by a low grunt. Jungkook. You thought to yourself just before you lost your consciousness. ~~~
