Chapter-1 That Man!  Dev "Get all the paperwork done and mail it to me. And I want Miss Aditi this instant. " I instructed Aman going through the new business proposal. And it was just another s**t I was being put into this week. Loads of proposal for the architectural work of the hotel in Mumbai raved my mind and I was searching for the best one. Annoyed, I took my coffee mug and walked to the glass window watching the buildings and rush outside. I knew down there would be noises piercing the ears but here in my twentieth floor, there was silence and discipline which I admired. Discipline. I told her not to cross my orders I give her. She was not obeying me and didn't had the Yes-I- will-do-whatever-you-ask attitude today and that was possibly passing the the whole day. I took out my I phone and dialed the landline at home. It was second ring and I didn't get the answer from her. Dev. Dev she called me straight. What should I have ordered her to call me. Sir? Like all others in the office and home called me? That was good but she was quite intimated of me that she might call me that in public and that meant the long series of questions from the critics and rivals. I didn't feared them but I feared not to reveal the inside matters of my home, my sister and that filth. " Hello. " I finally heard her soft and over sweet voice. If I hadn't known her what she really was I would melt at her sweetness. " I hope you are not taking the vantage of the leisure in my absence. Because you know what you will go through if I find out. " I tried to scare her. Silence. I heard her take a deep breath," these things don't allure me. I never had them ever nor I expect them. " She mouthed. " Do you know that you will be rewarded because of your f**king mouth? " Silence. Except I heard the rustle of her bangles. Red bangles. Oh god! I loved those in her hands but She wasn't lovable still I loved those bangles. "Please don't say anything Dev." She breathed and I could imagine the pain in her face. "I want you to get ready today. But not in rugs that you clothe yourself. I will send my employee to get you ready. " I could see her in her bridal dress in all red with her eyes looking down. This b***h looked beautiful in them and that's how she strangled people in her fingers. " Why? " I heard her quiet voice. " Ask me again. " I threatened her. She went silent. I hanged the phone and looked out again absorbing the blue sky. I could watch that the whole time thinking a lot of thing if I had so much time. I had this big empire to take care off and I loved to win. Winning was like breathing for me. It filled something into me and drugged me. "Sir! " I turned to look at the lean and beautiful woman on the door holding a wide smile. She had sharp cat eyes but hers are much more sharp and glinting to hold you to watch them the whole day. " Come in! Aditi. " I called her and I stepped towards my chair to sit as she came forward and stood in front of me across the table with a paper book and pen. "You wanted me, sir?! " She had the warm smile on her small angular face reminding me that I had never seen her smile. From the first time I looked upon her eyes till today, I saw fear, insecurity, nervousness and more recently, tears. First time. She was sitting in my bed draped in all red of different shades with her face covered in the veil. Tradition! As she sensed my presence I noticed her flinch and fidget. Her little fingers rolled over each other in nervousness and I smirked as I was contented seeing her anxious. That was among the reason to marry this girl. This malicious orphan girl living with hell of people who took care to not let her get what she wanted. I think that's why to fulfill her pleasures, she wandered around rich people. Money called her. Now she was married to me. Was she on the seventh cloud? I neared to her and sat on the edge of the bed, my patience was moving away with the distance I enclosed. Hate. Anger. Morse. They all hovered me as I impatiently pulled her veil away in a harsh and rough flick making her gasp in fear. Her dark watery eyes wide in horror looked at me, stared studying me. That fear went somewhere and I found the warm gazes filled with womanly care and affection pouring out to me. Pity. I next traced pity. For me? I laughed at my own joke. She would be pitying herself next for marrying me. I looked little down holding her chin with my index finger, her lips and nose quivered. 'This scum is beautiful. More than beautiful. Her dark eyes, red savouring lips and sweet little nose are much for any man to think about her. To crave for her. Voice? How does she sound? I will know when she would begging me. Was she the one to cause all havoc to my family? She is so sweet and... Innocent. You can't look inside her head. Unwrap her and her head she would spill. ' I thought looking in her deep eyes, twitching. She lowered her eyes then and my eyes caught the sight of her dark and thick eye lashes. It was her marriage and she had no makeup and still looked so... I stopped myself that instant. I was hurting my sisters dead soul by thinking about her in this way. My anger overtook again. "You seduce man with this killer look of yours, right?! " Her eyes looked up, confused. " B***h! " A small " what " ringed in my ears. Again it was full of innocence. Was she she? Indeed she was. Innocence was Anya. She defined it. She devoid of parental love and care still had that appearance of beautiful one carrying love for everyone and embodying the beautiful soul on earth. She was pure and full of positivity. "You are all I want and love Bhai." Her voice ranged my ears making a hole in me. I felt her tight bear hug. I smiled at her. Bitch, what her name was, Arohi gave me a smallest smile." It wasn't for you baby. You misunderstood me. " I pushed her on the bed and started unwrapping her filthy body... She tried to stop me uttering swearing, moving but she wasn't that strong to push me away. She cried my name as I without warning entered her. "Dev. " " Sir? " I looked at the feature before me. How much affected I was of her that I thought about her in between my work? This annoyed me. " Aditi, I want you to get my.. " I stopped thinking was she really my wife, " Arohi ready for today's party. This is a very important business meet and I want her in her best looks. " Out of that rugs she wore. But she really needed clothes to match my standards after all she was my beautiful wife in the eye of this cruel world. I took out my wallet and extended her my debit card," Shop her the best womanly stuffs and get my baby ready before 7 pm. " " Sure Sir. " She nodded and strutted out of my cabin elegantly. This woman had class and knew fashion. Though being just an employee, she tried to have the best outfits hugging her. I appreciated her for her heart was not full of filth as hers. Looking at my sisters photo on the wall, all my hate and anger vanished away. Her eyes had that warmth to melt you and take away all your agonies. But realisation of her not not in home waiting for me to come back, my heart raged with anger and the desire to crush her increased by miles. I turned for I couldn't allow anyone watch my eyes, my weakness. If they know them they would try to crush me and ruin me too like my innocent sister. She cried in front of all giving away all her weakness to people and she went away. I learnt the lesson and so decided to fight for her. My phone rang. It was Aman. "Sir, Malhotra's are not giving up. They don't want to sell the land and challenged us-" Challenge ? That I loved and had copyright to it. " Auction the land. " I instructed him," Destroy them. " Destroy everyone who comes on my way. I wouldn't let anyone stand up against me. " Sir. " I hanged up the call and ran my eye to the papers of the merger of my hotel business with one of my friends, Anushka Singh Rajput. She became my good friend after our encounter in a party in London when we were doing our studies. She was doing Hotel Management while I was in Harvard studying business. We came closer as a good friends but my friends taught she had a likeness for me. Though she was the perfect woman with honourable tag of being heir to royal family and the remarkable achievements, and beauty encompassing classic looks, I never felt her much more than a friend except for the time I almost loved her but it was just the attraction I understood the little later. Her constant persuasion for joining our business venture led me to this merger tonight. I didn't wanted my main business of real estate and textiles to be merged with others names but hotel business which was the side investments would do. Then they are the names of royal and business with them wasn't the bad idea, it would profit me not only in money but more fame honours too. Everything was good in the papers and I surely was to get enough of it. I encased them in my laptop bag and rushed to my final meeting with board of members about the new business ventures and ideas to profit the company. "Sir, we have the ideas that might help us widen our business in the whole world.. " Aman supplied me. " But Sir this venture tonight would take away the name of Raichand's group. They are royal-" one of my board members suggested. "But Raichands have money par to them and that's what attracts everyone more than the royal name, Mr. Akhilesh. I have got loads of it and the nothing of the hotels would change after the merger. " After the meeting, I started to look at my mails when I got the call from my sweet little wife. I picked up the call without any words I waited for her to speak first in the curiousness of how she addressed me at phone. Silence. I heard her forced and nervous breaths and a quite amusement escaped my mouth. Maybe she heard me and confirmed I was on the other side. "Dev. " Nervousness and fear poured out. I mindlessly counted the number of people who called me by name this date and I realised it was just the bunch of people. And how come she fall in the list? " Hello? " She said again innocently when I was taking long to answer her. How could anyone fake this much of innocence in there voice? Silence. She began again," Dev. There is a woman Aditi who is saying.. You asked her to take me to... Shopping for.. For a party. Today. " " Yes I did. Now make yourself presentable and not let me down. " " Okay. " She said and hanged up the call before I could say anything more. How dared she? I called her back and she took long to pick my phone up, and as she did I needed to scare her, " Never. Ever. End. The call. Before. I ask. Or. Even call. " I hissed. " I thought -" She spoke abruptly. Cutting her half I snapped, "Thinking anything is not what you have to do. Don't strain your filthy small head." Then the someone's voice on the other side caught me off guard, "Don't talk to her that way you spoiled rich man." Who the hell was he? Her lover? "That woman! "
