Harassment?
Skyline... I’m back!!!"
Inhaling a large quantity of air, the woman smiled while releasing her breath. She was still young since the last time she was in Skyline. Her parents migrated due to their work, bring her with them. It has been years since she last saw her precious friend.
Thinking about her childhood friend, Hayana immediately dialed her friend’s number. She was busy with typing her friend’s number while walking towards the exit of the airport.
Still waiting for her friend’s answer, she was not able to pay attention to her surroundings. She almost fell on the stairs when she felt that someone grabbed her arm and hauled her forward.
She opened her eyes and saw the man looking back at her. He immediately released her hand and walked away as if it was just on impulse when he helped her.
She was frozen on her feet, still holding her phone on her ear. She heard someone said to that man, "Mr Del Monte, this way. Mr. Wong wanted to meet with you regarding your proposal."
’Mr Del Monte? He’s called Mr Del Monte? Del Monte Empire?’
Suddenly, she heard her friend’s voice on her phone. Without paying attention to her friend’s ramblings, she said, "Mora... I think I’m in love.." Haya could feel her heart was beating like a drum..
*Thump thump thump..*
Haya smiled wickedly while pressing her hand against her chest, saying, "I’ll make sure he won’t escape from me."
Haya could feel her friend was choking at her words for a moment from the other line before replying. “The naughty little princess is in love?! Heh.. Who’s the unlucky bastard?”
"Mora... I’ll hang up. I’ll call you later, Okay? I have to follow him and tie him with our red string of fate."
Haya ran towards the exit, trying to chase the man who made her heart race.
"Stop! Stop! You!!! I said stop!!!" She was frantically shouting with all her might as she chase the man, leaving her baggage alone. The man did not pay attention to her nor even look at her.
She suddenly feels frustrated. "Thief!! Thief!! Give it back!!" Finally, she was able to chase him. She immediately hold his arm while saying, "Give it back! Give it back! How dare you stole it!!"
The man stopped walking and turned his head. He icily stared at the shoulder she was holding and then his eyes move towards her, making her shiver from cold. "Are you talking to me?"
Haya took a deep breath, mustering all her courage, she nodded. "Yes. I am talking to you! Where is it?? Give it back!!" She started touching the man, patting all of his sides, trying to find something.
The man froze. As if he never expected the shameless act of this woman in front of him. He moved backwards and stiffly said, "What are you doing? Do you want me to sue you for s****l harassment?"
Haya feigned ignorance. "I’m just trying to get back what you stole from me! How dare you accuse me of malicious deeds?"
"Miss, you must be mistaken."
"No, I’m not! I am 100% sure you’re the one who stole it!!"
The man’s brows wrinkled. "What did I steal from you?"
Haya smiled widely and said, "You stole my heart."
The man’s eyes stared at Haya’s. Under the man’s intense gaze, she blushed. She does not have a very thick skin as she thought.
But then few minutes later she began calling for help.
"Help me! S-someone is bullying me here."
Haya’s crying sounds could be heard. She sounded so pitiful that Mora’s heart squeezed tightly. "Hayana, what exactly happened?? Who bullied you?"
Her best friend was suddenly transformed into an overly protective sister.
Her friend Amora short for “Mora” Miller was indifferent with other people but towards those whom she cared, she would protect them at all costs, like a mother lion protecting her cubs.
"Mora... C-come here.."
“Please come here quick!” Haya’s tears knew no bounds.
"Okay. Okay. Where are you?"
"I-I was hold captive h-here at the airport’s s-security office. they said... they said, they will sue me!! Waahhhh!! Mora~"
"Shh.. It’s okay. Don’t cry. I’m here. Nothing will happen to you. Stay there, okay?"
"Hmm.. Okay.. I-I’ll wait for you. Come quickly."
"Okay. I’ll hang up. Behave." Mora immediately stepped on the brakes and made a U-turn. Few minutes later, Her best friend arrived at the airport. She walked towards the security department and went inside the office.
There, she saw her crazy bestie sitting on the chair. She looked like she was a trying to argue with someone. She was pouting. Due to anger, her face had turned into scarlet red like a ripened tomato, ready to harvest.
"H-how dare you!! Why would you sue me? My surname is ‘Adams!’ I’m the precious princess of Adams Holdings!"
"Miss Adams, my client does not wish to have a conflict with the Adams, but you have crossed the line and assaulted my client." The man with eyeglasses spoke professionally.
Mora’s brows wrinkled. ’I knew it. This bratty princess made trouble again.’
"Hayana!" Before it escalates to another level, Mora immediately went towards Haya.
"Mora... You’re here."
“He is lying I didn’t assault anyone.”
Like a kid who finally found her savior, Haya raised her head and cried pitifully. She hugged Mora and said, "Bestie... Look.. they are bullying me…”
’This Del Monte family again? What is wrong with them?? They always bully the weak.’ Amora Miller’s eyes narrowed when she heard that the man was a representative of someone from the Del Montes. "I am Amora of Miller Group. On behalf of my friend, I would like to apologize."
"I am the legal representative of Mr Del Monte of Del Monte Empire, Sam." said the man with the eyeglasses.
Mora and Sam shook hands. Sam faced Haya and said, "Miss Adams, my client does not want to make this a big issue. If you could properly apologize and promise not to harass my client again, Mr Del Monte won’t continue to press you any charges."
Mora looked at Haya. "Harassment? Hayana, what did you do?"
Haya averted her eyes and looked down.
"Haya!"
“Haya speak!” Her bestie said but the girl didn’t answer her.
"I was just... I was just trying to get back what he stole."
Hayana whispered, she sounded like a mosquito.
Mora, who was near her fortunately heard her words. "Stole? What did he steal?" Mora suddenly eyed Sam as if telling him that it was his client who was the offender in the first place.
"He stole... He stole swhshwh..." Mora was not able to hear Haya’s words this time.
"Huh? What did you say?"
"I said he stole my heart!!!" Haya was puffing her cheeks because of shame and anger.
Mora, who was currently staring daggers at Sam, froze. She snapped her head back at Haya. She glared at her and said,
"Apologize."
"Noo!" Haya stubbornly refused.
"Do you want to leave here with me or accompany you to jail? You choose." Haya suddenly felt scared.
"Noo… bestie.. Don’t leave me here alone with these bullies."
"Apologize."
Haya glared at the man with eyeglasses. Then she grudgingly said, "I’m sorry."
Sam wanted to say, ’Is this how you apologize? So unwilling.’ but before he could say it, Mora already beat him to it.
"Won’t Mr Del Monte give face to Millers and Adams? I hope your client won’t take it to heart. He is a man, I’m sure he knows how to be a gentleman."
Sam was suddenly choked to death. If he pressed this issue, aside from not giving face to the two families, wouldn’t that mean his client does not know how to be a gentleman?
Sam could not make his own decision. He called his client and informed him first. After a few conversations, the man with eyeglasses ended the call. He then looked at Mora and said, "My client accepted Miss Adams’ apology, Miss Miller, hoping that... Miss Adams would.. uphold her promise."
Her best friend sighed after seeing how the eyeglass lawyer coughed a few times.
Mora glared at Hayana. Haya’s eyes suddenly wondered everywhere, not meeting her eyes.
"Haya..." she called the girl.
But Hayana only grunted.
"Fine. But I want to know the name of that man." Haya smiled brightly.
’I must know his name at all cost!’ Although he knows Haya was just fishing some information, Sam doesn’t have a choice but to answer.
