The incessant beeping of a proximity alert awakened Luchaver from a dreamless slumber. The vampire sat up in his reclined chair, mentally commanding his vessel's windscreen to lose just a little of its opacity. It still protected him from the sun, but became light enough that he could see through. What he witnessed made his black eyes grow wide with surprise. He saw the slayer, Logan, creeping towards his vessel, looking every so often at the device strapped to his wrist. So, it seemed the humans had devised ways of tracking Wythirian technology after all. For a moment Luchaver considered his options, and then his tired mind picked up on the most relevant fact about the situation; that Kylie was not present. In actuality, his tracking implant was telling him that she was quite far away. B
