JACOBS POV

  I sat there staring at her i just told her my life story and she just accepted it sat there and listened. I don't know why i told her but i thought that's the best way if i opened up to her she will to me as im watching her can actually see how beautiful she really is sat there in my clothing that hung on her like tents she was so small and so malnourished i mindlinked the head chef and asked them to bring up some dinner for us.

a few minutes later there was a knock on the door i watched as my mate opposite me froze mid sentence.

" it's just the dinner i asked helen to bring us up some dinner you haven't eaten since lunch I'm sure your starving"

" thank you" i collected the food and laid it out on the table roast beef with all the trimmings i watched as Phoebe's eyes grew bigger "tuck in"

as we are eating Phoebe started to explain how her father was killed by rogues in the woods when she was 2 and her mother blamed her which is ridiculous she was just a toddler.

"And then when i was 5 i was moved to live in the basement and started chores in the house i would be woken with a smack or kicked and have to start my chores before i would go off to school school was my happy place i had no friends or anything but i had more piece until i was 7 when Alpha kyle my brother Jackson and Gamma shaun decided to attack me after school on my way home they beat me up stripped me naked and tied me to a tree and left me there until 11 30 at night when a groundskeeper cut me down and gave me a top i rushed home but that was the first night i was whipped.every day and night since then i have been either beaten stabbed burned whipped. food was a fun one i would maybe get a nutritional pack every 4 days if i was lucky."I just sat there staring i couldn't even be angry it was so much more i was shocked how did she survive all of that how could a mother do that a pack i got so many questions but tonight's not the night it's 11pm and i think those can go for another day.

" I promise to you i will kill everyone of them"

" i do not want revenge i want freedom " she shocked me once a again what a gentle soul how is she mated to someone like me.

" can i ask you a question Jacob"

"anything"

" who is kerry" oh s**t forgot about that slut i should be honest 

" i forgot about her she was or is but soon to be ex girlfriend i decided to have a chosen luna one that can help run the pack but now with you in front of me i don't need her."

" i see how do i know I'm not the same and you will find someone better than me" she looked at me with such innocence and fear.

"you are not replaceable you are like a angel kerry is a slut that has slept with every wolf in this pack she's power hungry she was replaceable"

"do you mean that"

" every last word watch" i stood up got on my knees and looked up to the ceiling and prayed to the moon goddess " moon goddess if you can hear me if i lie to you you may take me soul i will cherish this woman in front of me Phoebe grey till the day i die if you sense any dishonesty from my words please kill me now"

we waited a few seconds and i stood up still alive she chuckled which made my heart swell such a beautiful sound and then i tripped over my own two feet and fell over how fricken embarrassing. She burst into full blown laughter.

"I'm glad you found it funny"

"my wolf said that was a warning from the moon goddess herself" she replied 

"oh really well then i'll take that seriously"

she started giggling again after the laughing slowed down she spoke 

" sorry Jacob it really is late i should go back to the den i have work in the morning"

" no you don't also you are moving rooms tonight you will have to sleep in my bed but i ordered you a new bed it will arrive tomorrow to go into the room over there well if thats ok with you sorry i didn't ask"

" its ok lovely thank you i can sleep on the couch i don't want too kick you out of your own bed"

" you will not do such a thing common lets get you in to bed" i walked her over to the bed she climbed in and snuggled right in which made Endy the happiest he's ever been to see his mate snuggled into his bed.

and with that i walked to the couch with my blanket and pillow and i fell asleep in an instant for the first time since i met her.
