“You’re pregnant again, Sandy! Anong plano mo ngayon?” tanong ni mommy sa akin. Ito ang tinawagan ni Joel nang nahimatay ako. Nakahiga ako sa hospital bed.
I paused for a moment, thinking about what my mom had asked. Honestly, I didn’t know what I was going to do. I never expected to get pregnant, especially not now. Why did this happen when Clinton and I are still so far from being okay? I was feeling overwhelmed by everything that was happening, and I wasn’t sure how to handle it all.
“You’re going to have two children with Clinton, Sandy,” my mom said, her voice calm but serious. “You really need to think this through. Are you going to let the child in your womb be born into a family that isn’t whole just like Cloudy?”
