Bridgit’s POV: How can you tell if you're dead? This is the question I contemplated while waiting for Samantha to return. Why? Well because I thought for sure I was dead. I didn't know how much time had passed. I couldn't remember how to breathe. I kept fading in and out of consciousness. I had attempted to get up and keep a lookout, but the steel rod protruding from my arm kept me from moving very much.
