"You can give me a status, but never expect to have my heart."

She smiles: "Don’t worry, I never wanted it."

Chapter 1: The Fateful Encounter
Tran Da Han stood before the towering glass facade of the skyscraper in the city center, the daylight reflecting brilliantly off the glass like a promise of an open future. She wore a simple yet sharp suit, her eyes serious and confident. Today was an important day — her first day working at Hứa Group, the country’s leading multinational corporation. Born and raised in an ordinary family, Da Han never imagined she would have the chance to work in such a luxurious and powerful environment. But through talent and relentless effort, she had earned the position of senior assistant to the Vice President — a role respected by many employees. Entering the luxurious meeting room, she saw well-dressed men exchanging heated discussions. At the center sat Hứa Thien Khang, the young, powerful CEO with a mysterious aura, commanding the entire corporation with a cold, piercing gaze. With just one look, he made the atmosphere tense. Da Han felt the pressure but remained composed and professional. “Tran Da Han, come here.” His cold voice echoed, silencing the room. She stepped forward, bowing slightly. “Yes, sir.” “Have you prepared the report for the new project?” He asked, his eyes inspecting every detail of her. “Yes, I sent the email to the relevant departments this morning,” she replied promptly. Thien Khang frowned, typing on his laptop. “This report lacks critical information. Do you know why?” Da Han tried to stay calm. “I will supplement and complete it immediately, rest assured.” “Don’t let such mistakes happen again.” His face hardened before turning to address the others. The meeting went on, Da Han staying tense and focused. But just as she was leaving, a sudden voice stopped her. “Wait.” She turned to see Thien Khang standing there, his eyes scrutinizing. “You know, working at this corporation requires not only diligence but understanding the rules,” he stepped closer, his tone low but icy. “Don’t make me repeat myself.” A chill ran down Da Han’s spine. “I understand.” But inside, a fierce resistance began to stir. The next day, amid the tense atmosphere of the building, Da Han received a call from her family’s office — a call that would change her life. “Da Han, there’s something important. Come home immediately,” her mother’s grave voice warned. Back home, she found her parents and representatives from the Hứa Group in heated discussions. Thien Khang’s family was struggling to maintain their power in the corporation, proposing a marriage alliance between him and Da Han to solidify their position. Da Han was stunned, unable to believe her ears. In the office, Thien Khang spoke coldly and bluntly: “Marry me. This is not a request but a family order.” Da Han lifted her head, eyes blazing with anger and defiance. “I am not a commodity to be traded.” He smirked. “You have a choice: marry me or lose your job and reputation.” Trapped with no other option, Da Han bit her lip and agreed to the forced marriage, her heart filled with fury and resentment. Their new life together was far from peaceful. Living under the same roof, sharing the title of husband and wife but hearts still cold and suspicious. During a fierce argument, Thien Khang suddenly forced a kiss on Da Han in front of many employees. She was shocked and tried to pull away, but he held her tightly. “This is how I prove my possession,” he said coldly. Da Han was furious, pushing him away, emotions tangled beyond words swelling in her heart. From then on, their relationship was a constant battlefield of love and hate, in every glance and gesture. Da Han was determined not to be defeated, while Thien Khang refused to let go easily. Life in the glamorous city became their private warzone, interlaced with silent conspiracies from family and enemies outside. Their story had only just begun, with many storms waiting ahead...
