Deanna pulled into the parking lot at Guiseppe’s with five minutes to spare. She took a deep breath and forced herself to relax, if only for a few seconds before climbing out of the car and facing the man who’d saved her bacon this evening. Beside the car she paused once more, her stomach fluttering as she wondered what had prompted her to push him to agree to dinner, but it was too late to back out now.
