By chance, the two couples arrived back at the circus entrance at the same time. The girls smiled at each other, both somehow intuitive in their reading of the other’s situation.
Melissa smiled across at Lisa. "Everything good?" She was pleased to see Lisa's carefree smile appear on her face.

Melissa held up her hand and showed off the diamond that sparkled with a myriad of colours in the moonlight.
Lisa gasped. "Oh, my God! Congratulations!" she hugged her friend.
Miguel shook Benjamín’s hand and then they hugged, tapping each other on the shoulder blades. The typical `all-male´ hug that, in one embrace, encapsulates their happiness for their friend while outwardly portraying their status as straight men.
