"Evil?" I heard Nicole asked, like asking herself not me. "What did I do back then to have this curse that made me an evil spirit?"
Nicole's voice was filled with filled with confusion.
"I don't see it that way," I told Nicole in my mind. I turned my gaze to Mom. "What happened after that incident?"
Mom looked back at me. I could feel the curiosity rising in my heart. I bet Nicole, too.
"She defeated that evil spirit but it made her blind," Mom answered that made eyes widened.
"Blind?" I and Nicole almost asked in unison.
"Yeah," Mom replied and leaned even closer to me. "She sacrificed her eyes so she can defeat that evil spirit."
