After hearing those words from Reed, I was silent for a moment. Specially, it was my first time watching a man cried in front of me. I was in awe. First impression about Reed was that he had this strong aura.
"I told you to not trust anyone or even the way they look. You can't tell a person's attitude just by looking at them," Nicole said liked a teacher lecturing her students.
I sat at the ground of our house facade. It was covered by grass so it was comfortable sitting here. Reed did the same and Nicole positioned herself in front of Reed. I wanted to roll my eyes but I didn't.
"Don't get jealous of me, Alliyah," Nicole said in her teasing tone. "We heard from Brent awhile ago that Reed liked you."
It was cold here outside but I just felt my body was in great heat.
