I stepped in the shower and let the warm water wash the sweat off my body. I have never felt so alive and confident. I don't know if it was joining the pack or bonding with my mate that has me feeling this ecstatic. I know there's danger all around us, but at this moment I feel at peace and free.
I washed quickly as I wanted to hurry. I'm curious to find out what Kain wants to talk about. I could tell by his voice that he was nervous.
I put on a pair of leggins and a tee shirt, and headed downstairs to the kitchen. Kain was pulling two frozen pizzas out of the oven.
He turned around and gave me a smirk, "this will have to do for tonight, since the first dinner took an unexpected but amazing turn."
