Chapter 10 The Moon Goddess

I walk into the bathroom to put some clothes on. When I look in the mirror I decide to take a shower first seeing I have leaves all over in my hair and there is dirt smeared all over my face and body. Turning the water on I feel to make sure it is not too cold or too hot. I jump in and let the water run over my body with my eyes closed. After a few minutes I open my eyes and grab the shampo. After I scrub my hair and condition it. I wash my body and climb out. I put on a pair of fluffy pants with a long sleeve shirt that has little fluffy paw prints on the front.

I walk out to the kitchen and grab a cookie-brownie mix to make. It is a brownie mix that you swirl cookie mix into. I mix it and put it into a cake pan to bake. After I set a time I walk into the living room and put on Frozen and call for the pups. When they all sit down I push play. About halfway through the movie I get up to take out the brownies. I sit back down. When the movie gets over I cut it up and grab a bunch of cups. I set it down, releasing I forgot the milk and the plates I got back to the kitchen. When I was up grabbing snacks Maze got blankets and pillows. 

We start Frozen 2 and eat. Once everyone is done eating, the pups climb up onto Maze’s and my lap. 

After Frozen 2 is over Maze speaks up. “Bedtime pups. Especially if you want to go to the park tomorrow.” I help her get them into bed and read a story to them. 

Me and maze walk into Lilliana’s room to check on her. “I’m gonna go see Cynthia tomorrow night.” I tell her.

“Okay, will you take the pups to breakfast so I can go see her in the mourning.”

“Of course.” 

“So what should we do about Cynthia’s birthday?” Maze asks as I pick up Lilliana.

“I have no idea.” I say as I lay her down to change her diaper. 

“We could go into the city for a girls day.” She suggests. 

“That sounds fun.”

“Okay I'm gonna head to bed talk to you tomorrow.” After she leaves I feed and burp Lilliana. I lay her back down for bed and head for my room. I brush my hair and teeth before I climb into bed.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. I walk out to the kitchen to see the omega cooking. The dining room table was set with a few of the kids sitting and eating. The living room was cleaned too. Omegas often go to sleep late and wake up early to get their very long list of chores done. 

Grabbing Lilliana from her room after changing her diaper and her bottle I sit down at the table. 

“What would you like for breakfast? I got scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, omelets, cereal, coffee, orange juice, and milk.” The omega asks me.

“Milk with bacon, eggs, and butter toast.” I tell her as I feed Lilliana. I eat after she brings my food over, while rocking Lilliana. 

Maze comes over to me dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a blue t-shirt with red swirls. “I’m gonna head to the hospital, I'll be back in 2 hours.” She says.

After I eat I get dressed and help the omega get all the kids dressed and bathed. I sit down and wait for Maze to get back.

Maze’s pov

When I get to the pack house I go to the hospital wing. I say good morning to her doctor before going into her room. She looks a little skinny but otherwise she looks a little better. The bruising and swelling around her neck had gone down. 

I sit down next to the bed. I have a little bit of time before I gotta head back to the cabin. It's been 3 days since we got caught.

I’m worried about her because she's always been the healthiest of the three of us. I get up to leave but before I do I squeeze her hand. When I do that I feel a weird spark brushing it off as static electricity I leave. I walk to the cabin to meet up with Freya to go to the park with the kids. The walk seems to take forever but when I get there I go in.

“I’m Back.” I announce overly dramatic when I open the door.

I sit down next to Freya and ask. “Are you ready to go to the park?”

“Yeah. The kids are too.” She tells me.

We go to the park for the whole day and we don’t even leave for lunch. The omega went and got a bunch of picnic stuff for lunch. We play tag, hide and seek, basketball. We swing and go on the slides. We wrestile a little bit too.

An hour before dinner we head to the cabin to get cleaned up. We were going to go to the pack house for dinner. 

After we wash up the kids and clean up we head to the pack house dining room. We take our seats at a table and grab some of the food that is in the middle of the table. There were hamburgers and hotdogs. With corn, green beans, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, and peaches. 

“Hey I’m gonna go visit Cynthia now.” Freya tells me when we get done eating.

“Okay see you in a little bit.” I say as she picks Lilliana up and leaves. 

Cynthia’s pov

I open my eyes to see a blue moon. The sky is a midnight blue with millions of stars, even though the sky is dark everything has a light to it. The grass is a beautiful bright green. There are silver and gold rose bushes aligned with a path. While tiger lilies grew out of the grass. The path led to a beautiful oak tree. The tree had to be like 1000 years old. It was huge. There were vines hanging from the branches. There is a swing hanging from a branch. 

 I got up and started walking towards it. The path had silver stones that aligned the path. The silver stones were in the shape of moons. I look up and see a white deer. It had long silver antlers that sparkled in the moonlight. There was a gold crescent moon shape on its forehead and over its back there were golden swirls. On its neck there was a black pendant with a gold triskele on it.

“Hello Cynthia.” It spoke in my mind.

“How do you know my name?” I ask, I was surprised.

“I know the name of all who enter this realm, for I am its guardian. Assigned by the Moon Goddess herself. I am Asten the Spirit Deer.” It tells me. “would you like a ride to the tree of life?” 

“Yes.” I say. It kneels down so I can climb on it back. Its fur is smooth and silky. “What does the symbol on your pendent mean?” I ask.

After a few minutes of silice Asten replies. “It comes from a greek word meaning ‘three legs’. There are many different meanings to is spirit-mind-body, Alpha-Beta-Omega, past-present,future. Another one is, What 3 things can not long be hidden, the sun, the moon, the truth. Another is life-death-rebirth. There are many interpretations of it though.”

“Oh.” 

After I say that we arrive at the oak tree. I climb down and see a blanket layed out with a variety food and drinks. My stomach growls “Go ahead, the food is for you.” He says in my mind again.

“Where did it come from.”

“The Moon Goddess.”

I sit down and eat. After I eat I lay down and look up at the stars. When I look over at the deer I see that he is eating some grass and I look back up at the stars. There were so many. I she one and I wish upon it. My wish was that I’d meet my mate and that he would be good to me.

“You will find your mate.” An angelic voice said.

I look up and see nothing. “Who’s there?” I say

Still looking around I see a silver beam shot from the moon and a beautiful woman appears. Long wavy silver hair flowed down her back. Eyes that never stayed one color long. A long white dress that faded into silver at the bottom. She was barefoot. Her forehead had a crescent moon in the middle with a star on each side tattooed in black. Her skin was pale. 

“Hello my child.” she says

“Who are you and why did you call me ‘my child’?” I ask sitting up.

“I am the Moon Goddess and I am the creator of all shifters.” 

“Why did you bring me here? Where is here?” I ask.

“Full of questions I see.” she chuckles. “I brought you here to heal you and talk to you. Here is the moon realm. A peaceful place for all supernatural beings. A heaven if you will. While it is not accessible by most I can bring whoever I wish here.”

“Why would you bring me here?” I ask, wanting to know why she would waste time on nobody like me.

“You my Golden Wolf are not a waste of time.” she says.

“What does that mean?” I ask.

“You will find out soon enough. To rescue your life, that of the golden tiger's life, and that of Lilliana’s life I will have to awaken your wolf early.” she says.

“What do you mean rescue our lives?”

“Soon there will be an attack on the pack for Lilliana’s life. The rogues will kill you in front of Freya for fighting to protect the pup and then kill her. Along with a lot of pack members dying.”

“How do you know this and how will awakening my wolf save all their lives?” I ask, confused.

“You are one third of a triskele. A healer and protector. Freya is death she can kill in a touch if she chooses to. That power has not yet surfaced. Maze the dragon shifter with some phoenix, has the ability to rebirth(bring them back to life) people. Your powers are not supposed to show themselves until you are 18 but you guys cannot die. As for how I know Freya had a vision in her sleep of the attack. With my help you will heal their bodies and access Maze’s ability, since without her dragon it would destroy her body. You will keep your ability” She says. “But with all hope you will awaken in time to save their lives.”

“How did Freya have a vision?”

“Her witch side has the ability of an oracle.”

“Okay. What did you mean Maze has phoenix? Why couldn’t you just awaken her dragon early?”

“Her body isn’t ready to hold a powerful dragon, your body is ready to hold your wolf.”

“Okay. How will you awaken my wolf?”

“I will simply press my finger to your forehead and you will shift. You will reshift when you wake up on earth. But it will be easier and less painful.” She tells me.

“Okay, let's do this.” I tell her.

She walks up to me and taps the middle of my forehead. That's when I feel a huge amount of pain in my bones. I feel my canines elongate. My right forearm snaps and my claws come out. I feel a tail form. After what feels like forever the pain stops. 

“Hello Cynthia, I am Gypsy your wolf.” I hear through our mind link.
