Serious Delusions

“Get up” Juhab, the guard whom I’ve learned his name during a shift change. He cuffs all of our hands shoving us out of the cells roughly one by one. It’s only been three days since I’ve been taken captive in what seems like an old bunker from when the humans still roamed earth. We walk through the dimly lit halls, turning each corner as though we’re in a maze, at first the smell of mold and cobwebs got to me but my senses have adjusted. Juhab comes to an abrupt stop at a large oak door, upon delivering two tough knocks on the door a gruff voice was heard. “Enter” He shoved the group of us into the large room. Letting my eyes readjust I took a long look around studying everything, it seemed like a normal office, the one my dad used to work in.. I almost whimper at the memory but I hold it in hearing someone clear their throat drawing my attention to a desk sat dead center. My eyes slowly roam to the large man with grey eyes, he’s examining all of us from afar sending a chill down my spine. I take a second to examine him, he looks buff, but old with graying hair and a nicely trimmed beard. Exhaling a long drag from his cigarette, with a bone chilling smirk which revealed his front gold tooth he finally spoke. “So slaves” He made sure to exaggerate the slave part causing a gasp from a few girls. “We- we’re not slaves, where are we! What are you going to do to us?” A tall blonde two girls down from me steps forward with tears in her eyes staring at the man behind the desk. He lets out a loud laugh causing us all to flinch. “Why me? I will do NOTHING with you, but your owners.. well that’s up to them. Guards take them to get ready.” He waved to two men who ushered us out of the room and through the long maze once again. We arrived upon another set of doors but instead they looked like rundown barn doors, standing outside were two women in maid uniforms with their heads bowed, they immediately grabbed hold and started shuffling us into a huge room with seven tubs filled with steaming water. Confused I look around to see all the girls awkwardly gawking at the tubs. ‘What the hell’ I thought to myself. ‘I’ve been pretty calm through this just breathe Odette, it’s ok we just got kidn*pped, now we’re being sold into s*****y’ I nervously chuckled in my head.
