Ryker POV.
I couldn’t sleep last night after that sl*t basically through herself at those other alphas at lunch, I spent it tirelessly in my office working through the stacks of paperwork on rogue attacks and who was behind them, I just can’t place how they know all of our defenses. I’ve been rotating patrols, even running the border myself at times to no avail, they keep coming just when we think we’re in the clear. Rogues have never been this put together not since the Great War but that was over 1000 years ago, I have my suspicions that someone’s behind this and it’s not just rogues trying to cause a slight uproar. I check the clock and it’s already 9:30 in the morning, I head up to my room mentally going through the schedule for today, I’ll be flying out this afternoon to a conference against my better judgment this vile creature has just come back and I don’t need her causing problems while I’m gone.
That’s when I hear the faint whimpers coming from her room I stop for a moment, “I’m not Onya! I’m Odette!”
“Why-why are you doing this” followed by defeated sobs, I snort. “Oh the lies she’ll tell to get herself out of these tight spaces” I chuckle softly as I go on my way. ‘She’s not getting away from me this time’
Throwing my clothes to the side I start the shower. Closing my eyes I let the water drown out the noise and that’s when the visions start again.
Her long dark hair flowing down her body, those bright golden eyes staring back at me, he Lucious lips calling me in. ‘Why can’t I get her out of my head’ “it’s the mate bond” Drake gruffs in my head. ‘The timing of this she wolf coming back into our lives couldn’t have been any better’ the sarcasm drips from my mind.
The alarm goes off and that’s when I know I need to head back to my office, I need to let her know my expectations while I’m gone and that she will not get away with this innocent victim act she’s always painted. Not now, and not ever again. I will break you Onya.
