Chapter 11

Nathans POV

The meeting was about to start, and Alpha Blade was not there yet, neither was his beta. Did she really listen to me? That would be a first. I greeted the other Alphas and Lunas as they entered the conference room. I walked up to the front of the table where I could have a good look at all the others. Alpha Blade goes through the door and behind him is her. They walked close together, making me growl. She looked at me with a smirk and winked.

She got balls.

Jeremiah laughs in the back of my head. Stupid wolf. My eyes darkened as I looked at her. Taking in her long, silver dress, she changed in to. She looks like a Luna.

She is a Luna. She has the balls and willpower to run a pack with you, Nathan. You just have to accept her.

She's only a beta, besides she's not my mate, I don't feel the mate bond.

I felt something when you caught her earlier today. You could feel the sparks too.

I know.

Alpha Julian, my cousin, walked up next to me. I gave him a nod and he returned it. I've never liked him, he's a snake who will do anything to get what he wants.

"Wow, who is that gorgeous she-wolf over there? She looks stunning!" He made a low whistle. I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"I suppose she's Alpha Blades Luna." I lie with a cold tone. He looked her up and down, practically drooling. He walked over to her with a smirk.

"Hello, I'm Alpha Judas. Pleasure to meet you, Alpha Blade and your Luna." He looked at Lea with a dashing smile, I was about to vomit. Lea smiled back at him, making me furious. Alpha Blade coughed.

"Pleasure is all mine, Alpha Judas. Although Lea is not my Luna, she's my beta," he said with a dry smile. Judas looks suprised.

"Your beta? Why in the world would you pick a she-wolf as your beta?" he laughed. Well, that was a big mistake. I could see Leas' eyes go black. Alpha Blade placed his hand on her lower back, making her relax.

"She's the best warrior in my pack, I'm sure she can beat your Beta's ass anytime." He smirked. I got eye contact with Lea, she gave me a small smile.

She's adorable.

Judas' bursted into laughter, and turned around to his Beta.

"Well let's test that theory, huh?" He smirked. His Beta looked at Lea, the man was huge and a lot bigger than Lea. She couldn't beat him. He walked over to her, slowly and looked her up and down.

He was next to her in a second, standing close to her, way too close. I could feel Jeremiah snarl in my head.

"You? Beat me? You're just a little sexy kitten." He smirked, touching her cheek. In a split second, his arm was twisted on his back and his face was banged down on the table. I could hear his nose break and there was blood everywhere.

"Ahh you little b***h! You broke my nose!" He roared. Lea grabs his collar and pushed him closer. Her eyes was pitch black.

"What? Did the sexy little kitten hurt you?" She batched her eyelashes at him. I held back my laugh. She's sassy. She released him and pushed him back to his Alpha.

"Well, I think we have seen enough. My King, can you start the meeting please?" Alpha Blades said, looking at me. I got his point.

"Yes. Everyone take a seat, please." I gestured for everyone to sit.

The meeting was long, and we discussed the terms of the contract many times. Some are holding back because of Alpha Blade and his Lycan pack. I kept my eyes on Lea, she was quiet. Alpha Brant was talking about the different terms for his pack to sign the contract when he turned his attention to Alpha Blade.

"Why should we help you if you're in need? You have been isolated from the rest of the world for several years now. How long has it been? 6–7 years? Why should we help you when you just ran from your responsibilities as a Lycan pack?" His words was hard and cold. He's an old Alpha, who thinks his pack is special. Alpha Blade looked at him with a boring look.

"We are here now.." He started.

"5 years." He got cut off by Lea. Everyone looked at her.

"How dare you question my Alpha? How dare you accuse him for running away? Where were you 5 years ago when our pack was attacked by an Alpha pack? Where we lost thousands of warriors. We lost women and we lost children! Innocent children. Where were you? We called all of you, we called our King and no one showed up! We were left with ashes and destruction." She looked at me with rage. She stood up, her body was trembling. She squeezed her fingers into a fist and blood dripped down on the table.

"Lea, don't," Alpha Blades whispered to her. He stood up next to her and touched her shoulder. Her breathing was heavy and she snarled. Alpha Blade tried to calm her but he failed. Her wolf was about to take over. I walked over to her and touched her shoulder. She looked at me, her eyes consumed in black. Alpha Brant looked surprised and scared.

"Lea, calm down." I whispered to her. I took my hand up to her cheek and caressed it gently. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, they were navy once again.

She looked at me and mumbled something. She turned around and walked out of the conference room, everyone staring at her.

"Continue discussing the terms of the alliance, I'll be back in a minute." I said to the other Alphas. Alpha Blade rised to go after Lea, but I shook my head at him, and he sat back down.

I walked out of the room and saw her down the hall. She was sitting on top of the stairs. I sat down next to her, her head was hidden away in her hands. We sat there for a few minutes, not saying anything. I could hear her heart beat pacing faster, she's nervous. Her scent is overwhelming me, all I want to do is hug her and kiss her.

"Why are you out here with me? Go back to your important meeting." She mumbled in her hands. I chuckled which makes her look at me with an annoyed look.

"I'm sorry. But why are you so grumpy?" I smiled at her grumpy face. She looked confused by my sudden mood swing. Her face softens, and she gives me a smile back. She lookd down at her hands again.

"I almost lost it there. My wolf was about to take over and I can't let that happen." Her voice was fragile and small. I touched her hands, making her jump. I took both her hands in mine and looked deeply into her navy eyes.

"We have all been there, we have all lost control before. The important thing was, you didn't lose it, you reclaimed the control." I felt the urge to kiss her but I knew that would be a mistake. I stood up and pulled her up to me. I was a head taller than her, but if she stood on her toes, she could reach my lips. My fingers moved on its own, lingering on her cheek for a few seconds. My lips moved closer til her cheek but I stopped myself.

"Come on, let's get this meeting over with." I dragged her back to the conference room. The others discussed fiercely, Alpha Kilian and Alpha Aidan standing up, yelling at each other. The others shook their heads and rolled their eyes at the two old Alphas.

"Stop it!" I demanded when I entered the room. Everyone shut up and Kilian and Aidan sat back down, their Lunas giving them a stern glare. Lea sat down next to Alpha Blade.

The meeting continued for another hour and then it was finally over. All the Alphas had signed the contract and we could finally get something to eat. We moved the party to the grand hall, where my kitchen staff had prepared a meal for us. I sat down at the end of the table, where I had a perfect view of Lea. She was sitting next to Luna Julia, who was married to Alpha Kilian. She was a lovely Luna to her people and respected by many. I could hear their conversation.

"So if you're not Alpha Blade's mate, is your mate at home then?" she asked a grinning Lea.

"No, I don't have a mate." She answered, making eye contact with me and smiling.

"Oh, well maybe you will find him here then." She gave her a sympathetic pat on the hand like she should feel sad about not having a mate yet.

I took a bite of my steak when Lea answered.

"Maybe, I can tell you on Saturday." She took a sip of her drink. Why Saturday? Jeremiah was awake in my head, his curiosity awakened too.

"Why Saturday, if I may ask?" Luna Julia continued. Well, thank goddess! I took a sip of my beer.

"That's when I turn 18." I almost choked on the beer, making me cough like hell. Everyone looked at me and Lea sent me a grin.

'Muhhahha you have beer out your nose!'

'Shut up!'

'Did you hear? She's not even 18 yet!'

'Yeah, I heard...'

I felt Lea mind link me and I let her through.

'Feeling okay there, Nathan?'

'Yes, just took me by surprise, that's all.'

'That I'm 17 or I don't have a mate?'

'The 17 part.'

Luna Julia interrupted our dialogue.

"So how old were you when you got your title? I mean, you must have gotten it recently?" she asked with curiosity. Lea looked at Alpha Blade.

"I got it 5 years ago. That's when Alpha Blade's father was killed, and he took over the pack," she explained.

Wow, she was young! That got the rest of the Alphas' attention.

"So you were only 13? That's impossible, when did you get your wolf?" Alpha Aidan asked from the other side of the table. All eyes were now on Lea.

"She got it when she was 10, it was amazing. I got mine when I was 14, the same year my father died." Alpha Blade jumped in to help her.

'Normally we got our wolves when we were 15. Maybe it was different with Lycans?'

'Don't ask me, I don't know anything about Lycans, but it must have been hard to turn when you're only 10!'

'Yes, Jer.'

"Seventeen?" My cousin Judas leaned back in his chair with a slow smile.

"Well, that explains a few things."

I felt the anger boiling in me, and a growl slipped out from my chest. Lea looked at me and I rose from my chair. Everyone looked at me.

"I think it's time for desserts." I gestured for my chef to come over with the plates. I walked out of the hall and out the front door. A cold breeze hit my face, cooling me down. I wanted to turn and give Jeremiah a long run, but I couldn't. I heard footsteps behind me and her scent caught my nose. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the soothing feeling her scent gave me.

"Are you okay?" Her tone was sincere. She touched my shoulder and I turned around. Jeremiah was starting to get impatient, he wanted to take control.

"I'm fine." I mumbled while looking into her deep blue eyes. I could see a flicker of gold, wondering if that was her wolf. Maybe she was fighting the urge as much as me.

She took a step forward, closing the gap between us. She looked up at me, only inches away from my lips. Jeremiah was on the edge of my mind. She looked into my now golden eyes.

"You're only 17 huh?" I smirked, taking a step away from her. She laughed at my sudden question.

"Yes, I'm only 17." She giggled before taking a step closer to me again.

Jeremiah burst through and I lost control over my body.

"Hello wolf." was all she said.
