Chapter 11

Nathans POV

The meeting is about to start and Alpha Blade is not here yet, neither is his beta. Did she really listen to me? That would be a first. I greet the other Alphas and Luna as they enter the conference room. I walk up to the front of the table where I can have a good look on all the others. Alpha Blade goes through the door and behind him is she. They walk close together, making me growl. She looks at me with a smirk and winks.

She got balls.

Jeremiah laughs in the back of my head. Stupid wolf. My eyes darkens as I look at her, taking in her long, silver dress, she changed in to. She looks like a Luna.

She is a Luna. She has the balls and willpower to run a pack with you, Nathan. You just have to accept her.

She's only a beta, besides she's not my mate, I don't feel the mate bond.

I felt something when you catched her earlier today. You could feel the sparks too.

I know.

Alpha Julian, my cousin, walks up next to me. I give him a nod and he returns it. I've never liked him, he's a snake who will do anything to get what he wants.

"Wauw, who is that gorgeous she-wolf over there? She looks stunning!" He makes a low whistle. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"I suppose she's Alpha Blades Luna." I lie with a cold tone. He looks her up and down, practically drooling. He walks over to her with a smirk.

"Hello, I'm Alpha Judas. Pleasure to meet you Alpha Blade and your Luna." He looks at Lea with a dashing smile, I'm about to vomit. Lea smiles back to him, making me furious. Alpha Blade coughs.

"Pleasure is all mine, Alpha Judas. Although Lea is not my Luna, she's my beta." He says with a dry smile. Judas looks supriced.

"Your beta? Why in the world would you pick a she-wolf as your beta?" He laughs. Well that was a big mistake. I can see Leas eyes go black. Alpha Blade places his hand on her lower back, making her relax.

"She's the best warrior in my pack, I'm sure she can beat your Beta's ass anytime." He smirks. I get eyecontact with Lea, she gives me a small smile.

She's adorable.

Judas' burst into laughter, and turns around to his Beta.

"Well lets test that theory, huh?" He smirks. His Beta looks at Lea, the man is huge and a lot bigger than Lea. She can't beat him. He walks over to her, slowly and looks her up and down.

He's next to her in a second, standing close to her, way to close. I can feel Jeremiah snarl in my head.

"You? Beat me? You're just a little sexy kitten." He smirks, touching her cheek. In a split second, his arm is twisted on his back and his face is banged down on the table. I can hear his nose break and there's blood everywhere.

"Ahh you little b***h! You broke my nose!" He roars. Lea grabs his collar and push him closer. Her eyes are pitch black.

"What? Did the sexy little kitten hurt you?" She batches her eyelashes at him. I hold back my laugh. She's sassy. She releases him and push him back to his Alpha.

"Well, I think we have seen enough. My King, can you start the meeting please?" Alpha Blades says, looking at me. I get his point.

"Yes. Everyone take a seat, please." I gesture for everyone to sit.

The meeting is long and we discuss the terms of the contract many times. Some is holding back because of Alpha Blade and his Lycan pack. I keep my eyes on Lea, she's quiet. Alpha Brant is talking about the different terms for his pack to sign the contract when he turns his attention to Alpha Blade.

"Why should we help you if you're in need? You have been isolated from the rest of the world for several years now. How long have it been? 6-7 years? Why should we help you when you just ran from your responsibilities as a Lycan pack?" His words is hard and cold. He's an old Alpha, who thinks his pack is special. Alpha Blade looks at him with a boring look.

"We are here now.." He starts.

"5 years." He gets cut off by Lea. Everyone looks at her.

"How dare you question my Alpha? How dare you accuse him for running away? Where were you 5 years ago when our pack was attacked by an Alpha pack? Where we lost thousands of warriors. We lost women and we lost children! Innocent children. Where were you? We called all of you, we called our King and no one showed up! We were left with ashes and destruction." She looks at me with rage. She stands up, her body is trembling. She squeezes her fingers into a fist and blood drips down on the table.

"Lea, don't" Alpha Blades whispers to her. He stands up next to her and touches her shoulder. Her breathing is heavy and she snarls. Alpha Blade tries to calm her but he fails. Her wolf is about to take over. I walk over to her and touch her shoulder. She looks at me, her eyes consumed in black. Alpha Brant looks surprised and scared.

"Lea, calm down." I whisper to her. I take my hand up to her cheek and caress it gently. She closes her eyes and when she opens them again, they are navy once again.

She looks at me with and mumbles something. She turns around and walk out the conference room, everyone staring at her.

"Continue discussing the terms of the alliance, I'll be back in a minute." I say to the other Alphas. Alpha Blade rises to go after Lea, but I shake my head at him and he sits back down.

I go out the room and see her down the hall. She sits on top of the stairs. I sit down next to her, her head is hidden away in her hands. We sit there for a few minutes, not saying anything. I can hear her heart beat pacing faster, she's nervous. Her scent is overwhelming me, all I want to do is hug her and kiss her.

"Why are you out here with me? Go back to your important meeting." She mumbles in her hands. I chuckle which makes her look at me with an annoyed look.

"I'm sorry. But why are you so grumpy?" I smile at her grumpy face. She looks confused by my sudden mood swing. Her face softens and she gives me a smile back. She looks down at her hands again.

"I almost lost it in there. My wolf was about to take over and I can't let that happen." Her voice is fragile and small. I touch her hands, making her jump. I take both her hands in mine and look deeply into her navy eyes.

"We have all been there, we have all lost control before. The important thing is, you didn't lose it, you reclaimed the control." I feel the urge to kiss her but I know that would be a mistake. I stand up and pull her up to me. I'm a head taller than her, but if she stands on her toes, she can reach my lips. I move my head closer to her and kiss her cheek, the sparkles is tingling my lips when I touch her skin. She stands perfectly still, and when I pull away, her fingers stroke the place my lips touched her.

"Why did you do that?" She asks with a sly smile. I shake my head and laughs.

"I have no idea, just wanted to. Come on, lets get this meeting over with." I wink and drag her back to the conference room. The others discuss fiercely, Alpha Kilian and Alpha Aidan standing up, yelling at each other. The others shake their heads and roll their eyes at the two old Alphas.

"Stop it!" I demand when I enter the room. Everyone shuts up and Kilian and Aidan sits back down, their Lunas giving them a stern glare. Lea sits down next to Alpha Blade.

The meeting continues for another hour and then it's finally over. All the Alphas has signed the contract and we can finally get something to eat. We move the party to the grand hall, where my kitchen staff has prepared a meal for us. I sit down at the end of the table, where I have a perfect view of Lea. She's sitting next to Luna Julia, who's married to Alpha Kilian. She's a lovely Luna to her people and respected by many. I can hear their conversation.

"So if you're not Alpha Blades mate, is your mate at home then?" She asks a grinning Lea.

"No, I don't have a mate." She answers, making eye contact with me and smiling.

"Oh, well maybe you will find him here then." She gives her a sympathetic clap on her hand like she should feel sad about not having a mate yet.

I take a bite of my steak when Lea answers.

"Maybe, I can tell you on Saturday." She takes a sip of her drink. Why Saturday? Jeremiah is awake in my head, his curiosity awaken too.

"Why Saturday, if I may ask?" Luna Julia continued, well thank goddess! I take a sip of my beer.

"That's when I turn 18." I almost choke on the beer, making me cough like hell. Everyone looks at me and Lea sends me a grin.

Muhhahha you have beer out your nose!

Shut up!

Did you hear? She's not even 18 yet!

Yeah, I heard..

I can feel Lea mind link me and I let her through.

Feeling okay there, Nathan?

Yes, just took me by surprise, that's all.

That I'm 17 or I don't have a mate?

The 17 part.

Yeah, I guess I could get you punished for kissing me on my cheek, since I'm a minor and all.

Don't even start.

Luna Julia interrupts our dialog.

"So how old where you, when I got your title? I mean, you must have gotten it recently?" She asks with curiosity. Lea looks at Alpha Blade.

"I got it 5 years ago, that's when Alpha Blades father was killed and he took over the pack." She explained. Wow, she was young! That got the rest of the Alphas attention.

"So you were only 13? What's impossible, when did you get your wolf?" Alpha Aidan ask from the other side of the table. All eyes was now on Lea.

"She got it when she was 10, it was amazing. I got mine when I was 14, the same year my father died." Alpha Blade jump in to help her. Normally we get our wolfs when we are 15, maybe it's different with Lycans?

Don't ask me, I don't know anything about Lycans, but it must have been hard to turn when you're only 10!

Yes, Jer.

"Damn girl, that's hot! I almost hope I'm your mate." My cousin, Judas burst out! I can feel the anger boiling in me, and a growl slip out from my chest. Lea looks at me and I rise from my chair. Everyone looks at me.

"I think it's time for desserts." I gesture for my chef to come over with the plates. I walk out the hall and out the front door. A cold breeze hits my face, cooling me down. I want to turn and give Jeremiah a long run but I can't. I hear footsteps behind me and her scent catches my nose. I close my eyes and enjoy the soothing feeling her scent gives me.

"Are you okay?" Her tone is sincere. She touch my shoulder and I turn around. Jeremiah is starting to get inpatient, he wants to take the control.

"I'm fine." I mumble while looking into her deep blue eyes. I can see a flicker of gold, wondering if that's her wolf. Maybe she's fighting the urge as much as me.

She takes a step forward, closing the gap between us. She looks up at me, only inches away from my lips. Jeremiah is on the edge of my mind. She looks into my now golden eyes.

"You're only 17 huh?" I smirk, taking a step away from her. She laughs at my sudden question.

"Yes, I'm only 17." She giggles before taking a step closer to me again. Jeremiah bursts through and I lose control over my body.

"Hello wolf." Is all she says.
