His eyes widened slightly, but I didn't stop. “You can do whatever the hell you want with it. Post it, print it, or make it a damn movie if that makes you feel powerful. If it makes you feel satisfied, fine! Go ahead! I don’t care anymore! But if you think that’s what it takes to control me...” my voice cracked, my eyes brimming with tears I refused to shed, “...then you’re more pathetic and delusional than I thought!”
For a long moment, he just stood still, his expression unreadable. But I saw something flicker in his eyes, something that looked like hurt, or maybe remorse? But it vanished as quickly as it came, leaving his face completely blank and emotionless.
