There is a side of Rhys I never thought I would see, one that laughed calmly and actually listened. The side that doesn’t tease or taunt or push me past my limits. And tonight, he had somehow made all the tension that had built up in me all day melt away with ease.
It was strange how he could do that. And if I’m being honest with myself, I don’t think I would’ve felt this way with Miles. Not that I wouldn’t enjoy being with him, of course, I would. Every second with Miles would be beautiful, even if I’d be the one talking most of the time, while he politely nods and smiles. But with Rhys, the conversation flowed effortlessly.
