Princess Eleatear followed Captain Nimitz to the place where they will be accommodated. They looked around the place and saw clean paved roads. They were at slight shock since their infrastructure in terms of roads cannot be compared to this type of road.
Humanity truly evolves huh?
The place was not that far but they could hear loud noises coming out from the skies. From their perspective, it can be anywhere but looking at the source of the sounds, they saw that there is a big metal black bird soaring in the sky. Their eyes widened once more after seeing such an alien thing.
Ever since they landed in this naval base, surprises always reflected on their faces. The flying metal bird, the weird carriage without a horse pulling it, and so on.
This humanity is on a different level.
“Where can we talk with the king here?”
The Princess said, looking at Craig who had been silent earlier.
“You will have a chance to talk with him but not today.” He said, “The secretary of foreign affairs will talk to you first and when they cleared you, then they will contact the president and arrange a meeting with you.”
“President?” The princess tilted her head quizzically.
“Hmm, I’m sorry for not being clear. King is not the leader of this country but rather a president. Anyone can be the leader of this country but you need to be chosen by our people through voting.”
“Voting?”
Eleater cannot keep up with these jargons. Ignorant of the words since the concept of democracy has not yet been established in history.
“Our country is democratic, meaning that we the people have the right to choose our leader…”
Craig who stole a glance saw that they were clueless to what he was saying. So, he comes up with another method to make them understand it easily.
“Well, imagine a king of a country like the king of the Regirenth Empire. Their government is in the form of a monarchy where the king has the highest orders and thus leading the Empire. While the President is the leader of the country voted by the people, it has the same power as the king.”
When he said that, the three exclaimed at his explanation. It was easy to understand if he puts it that way.
“I see, that’s what you called democracy eh? But how do you know if the person is qualified in leading the country? I mean what will happen if a person does not have knowledge on leading the country but still wins?”
“I agree, your government is flawed.” The Siren interjected.
“Giving the ordinary people with such power is utterly stupid.”
Craig can’t help but show a forced smile while they were mocking his country. However, he will not yield to this.
“It’s true that our government is flawed but it also gives many rights and freedom to the people. Most of the monarchical government tend to not last long since the people living in the monarchical rule always rebel for not recognizing their individual rights.” He remarked, “And in our world, most of the monarchical government turned into a republic where the people had the power and they chose one individual to represent their country.”
“Well, our people are not going to do that,” Eleatear said.
“Of course they won’t if you keep up good relations with them or you can just oppress them.”
Saying that he let out a deriding smile.
The Kremlin Palace is the headquarters of all the admiralty in the naval base. This is also where they will be staying until they have an appointment date with the leader of the free world.
They were just near so they took a walk. Arriving at the Kremlin Palace, the three let out a sigh of admiration. The architecture and designs are magnificent and lovely. Princess Eleatear was astounded that she almost praised the humans but she kept it to herself. She doesn’t want the other to see that she has gone soft to the humans after doing inhuman things against their fellow witches and her speech saying that humans are enemies.
They entered the Palace and were escorted to their rooms. The three were left alone but they left some guards at the entrance of the room standing on either side.
“Jean cast some anti-reconnaissance spell.”
Princess Eleatear ordered and Jean who was her adjutant nodded and began chanting words that are incomprehensible in the human tongue.
Then the room glows blight blue for about a second and immediately fades away.
The spell was cast and Jean looked at the Princess with a satisfied look, lifting up her hem, and said.
“Your Highness, the magic is now in place and no one will be able to hear us from the outside.”
“Good, now then, we have a grasp of knowledge about this new country that emerges from this island. Anyone of you wants to share?”
“These humans built warships with a little cannon? How can they fight our fleet if their cannons are so small? But like you said, we need to investigate how they worked in the field. You said that there is a video, can I take a look at it?”
The Siren said and Eleatear nodded. Then she gave a spherical orb to her and induced some magic on it by placing her hand.
The Siren watched the videos but the footage is long so Eleatear looked at her adjutant with hopes of the contribution of her observation of this new country.
“All I can say is that the humans here are smart compared to our time. They were able to build such ridiculous things that we even can’t comprehend. Their roads are built with long flat rocks, their wyverns are made out of steel, their ships are made out of steel, and the environment is clean. I believe that we must investigate further, who knows what they have in their sleeves?”
“You’re right. This is a country that emerges from this island. Though according to our information, they claimed to be from another world which is ridiculous. Their government and technology are so far ahead.”
“But, your highness, they also claimed to be lacking in magic. After all, they are human. We can use it to our advantage and if you want an easy victory against these puny humans. I suggest that we use the heavenly spears that were passed down millennia ago.”
“But we only have five of those and convincing the queen and the senate are hard to reach. I agree with using our secret weapon but those weapons are created for the purpose of eliminating demons in this world.”
“But they are now our allies, though it’s just temporary. I believe that this country's existence is can be a threat to our country’s plan.”
“Your insights delights me, Jean.”
“Your highness, I don’t deserve such praise, I merely just spoke what I had in mind.”
“Even so, you gave me a rather interesting perspective about this country. However, I want to know what this country is capable of.”
After thirty minutes, Siren who was watching a video was trembling her hands, shaking the orb witnessing the defeat...no...the human fleet massacred the Sovereignty, losing the best captain in the process. But she was not trembling because of fear but rather an excitement.
“Interesting! Interesting! Interesting…” She praised writhing her body seductively. This Siren who was quite reluctant about the human ships suddenly turned into a masochist after watching such a spectacular scene...no she may call it art.
“Our Sirens do have some strikingly similar features to their ships. But being able to fire more than once in a short amount of time amuses me. I will want to copy some of them!”
“You mean using that black cubes power to copy their ships? You want their ships to turn into a girl?”
It may seem like a joke but it was a serious remark of Eletear. The Siren is just an invader from another world whose body is built like a shipgirl. (Azur Lane Reference). With the power of the black cube. They can turn a ship into a ship girl or even create a copy of them.
But the cubes must be directly touched by any part of the ships and that’s it.
The ships will not suddenly turn into ships. The black cubes just copy them and when the Siren starts to create a copy she only needs a small space since those ships that were touched by the black cubes will turn into a ship but in a girl form.
This is deadly from the side of the United States if they were to happen.
“That said, I need to go outside and make some contact with their ships. I will try to copy as much as possible to fully utilize this black cube.” She said, holding the black cube.
“Okay, but do it covertly, we don’t want to raise suspicion just after we arrived here.”
“Don’t worry about your highness, this is an ultimate gift that you gave me. I will make some…”
The Siren was interrupted. She then looked at the door and saw two people entered carrying a thin-looking box.
The trio was dumbfounded again by their designs. Curious, they decided to ask.
“This is called a smart television.”
The man said while setting up the said television. It seems that he is mounting it on the wall.
“What’s this smart television do?”
Eletear asked.
“With this technology, you can watch things like movies, news, television series, and so on. This is a form of entertainment we often use in our homes.”
“Entertainment huh?”
Eletear said leaning forward, quite interested in the television.
“Yes, with this you can watch things that are happening from afar. For example.”
After finishing the set-up in just a minute. He picked up a remote and opened the television.
The television which was colored black in front suddenly turned into a colored one. She is dumbfounded again after seeing that they were images moving. Just like how her orbs were doing lately.
The quality is higher than the orb and when the man who sets the television said that everyone has it in their homes. She exclaimed once more.
“Perfect, they were now airing the President's speech this time.”
“President? Is that the king of this country?” Eletear suddenly blurts out after hearing the word president.
“Well he is not technically a king but the power is similar. He is now addressing the issues that are happening in the Incredal Kingdom. The country that was once in war with our country.”
Now looking forward to this matter, Eletear saw a young man on the screen standing on the podium.
Is he the president?
“A young man is your president?”
“Yes, but don’t let his looks deceive you. He is a twenty-eight years old guy.” The man said.
“Still young,” Jean said.
“Well if anyone is capable of running a country. Their ages are not that relevant.”
While giving his speech, Eletear was observing the man as if she was analyzing him. He looks so young to be the king. She expected some old man with a long beard on his chin but it was a young man.
A young handsome man. While he was talking, she was drawn in on how charismatic he was while giving that speech, not to mention the eloquence.
This man who looks like a teenager cannot be looked down on. She also looked at the man who sets the television in awe just by seeing their king or rather president.
This young man is loved. She can tell it by looking at the people around him and the crowds watching and listening to it. Thanks to a lot of different angles presented by this television. She has now a huge grasp of the leader of this country.
“He looks handsome like the captain before don’t you think?” Jean praised but was ignored. Her attention is locked on the airing television.
After his long speech, she smirked.
“What an interesting fellow, I’m quite excited to see him anytime soon. Fufufu”
