Massive Air Raids

At the White House Command Ops. Thomas was watching the live footage via a big mounted flat screen on the wall. It has three icons representing a type of plane.

The first one is the Rockwell B-1 Lancer and the second are two Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Together they soar through the skies, breaking through the airspace of Sovereignty undetected. The fighters don’t know if they have some sort of early warning system but since they didn’t meet an opposing force in the air and detected nothing on the radar. The pilot seemed that it was the case.

Since there are no radars in the Sovereignty to detect unidentified flying objects in the sky. The attack would be much easier.

The goal of the B-1 Lancer is simple, attack the military installations near the ports to delay their military mobilization while the navy is still replacing the lost crews and vessels.

One kilometer to their target, the B-1 Lancer started to do the preliminary sequence for the bombing. That includes: Calculating the coordinates, calculating external factors such as wind, and turning the plane into battle mode.

Now with all of that has done, the B-1 Lancer opened its door on its belly releasing a five 2000 pounds JDAM.

The bombs inside THE JDAM are the GBU-38 with a weight of 590 pounds. Four of them are released in the sky and now plummeting on their foes.

The unguided GBU-38 became a guided missile the moment it was fitted inside the JDAM.

Now, the four bombs headed their way to the military installations where there seem to be at least two thousand people inside.

The bombs make a shrill sound the moment it gets closer and closer to its target. Some say that it was a sound of death and if you heard any of these sounds and still survive. That means you’re not the target.

Meanwhile at the watchtower where two guards are talking casually to each other about their day suddenly heard a shrilling noise in the air.

They extended their body out of the watchtower and looked overhead. There was nothing to be seen but they still could hear the shrilling noise in the air.

“Shall we report it to the master?”

“No, you i***t what are you going to say? There is a shrilling sound?”

“But the master told us to report anything suspicious.”

“Oh come on, we don’t want to disturb them just because we heard some weird sounds. What do you think will happen to you if you were to report stupid things?”

“Good point…”

The guards ignored it and didn’t notify the master of the base. Well, even if they did they will have no chance to escape because the bomb is five seconds out of its target.

Five seconds later, there were four big explosions happening in the base giving a thunderous clap along with it. The radius of the explosion engulfed the military base, devouring everything that was there.

No one survived the explosion but those who witnessed the explosion caused some trauma. What is just happening?

The moment the Sovereignty declared war against the human nation. Everything turned out to be bad.

They thought the humans will never reach Sovereignty but the explosion in the military base told them an answer.

Some began to cry and others went home for their safety.

Radar blares*

Ten incoming flying objects were detected in the radars of the F-22 Raptors. Since their job is to protect the B-1 Lancer, this threat should be neutralized.

The pilots of the F-22 Raptors don’t know what they were dealing with however they need to check if it was a threat.

The leader of the 53rd Wyvern Overlord Squad Air force. Griffon was patrolling the skies when they heard loud thunderous sounds from the direction of the military base. They decided to check it.

Ten of them soar through the skies at an unimaginable speed of 437 kilometers per hour that it would be practically impossible for one person to ride on its back due to G-force and wind pressure.

But thanks to the magic they were able to ride it at ease and manages to arrive at the military base where the explosion was.

What they saw were dilapidated buildings, earth gouges, craters, and so on. There were no people to be seen in the military base. It seems like they were dead in an instant.

The moment Griffon wanted to investigate, he felt sudden goosebumps all over his body, fearing death.

He instinctively turned around and saw a diving steel wyvern. It was fast enough that Griffon didn’t manage to analyze it, making him call it steel wyverns.

Then they heard a roar from the steel plane spraying some small specks of light at incredible speed. There was no time to react, the bullets of the MG1A2 Vulcan cannon were moving at 1,052 meters per second. That said the rotary gun can also spray bullets up to 4,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute.

Griffon was lucky that he was not hit but he didn’t share his fate with his fallen comrades who are the wyvern overlord and its riders were riddled with gaping holes.

Fear and fright began to haunt him as he reactively flew away from the location of the attack. He moves his wyvern overlord at full speed, hoping to escape. However, the steel wyvern that was attacking him followed him and daringly flew alongside him.

Now he has a closer look at the steel wyvern but it was not a steel wyvern that he imagined. It looked like it was made of metal and not a living being. In the front part of it, he saw a person looking at him as if he was scanning him.

Then after that, the plane suddenly maneuvered backward as if it was defying the law of physics.

Thanks to the advanced maneuverability of the F-22 Lightning, it was able to reposition itself at the back of the wyvern giving the pilot a chance to lock-on target.

“Ekk?”

Griffon let out a cry after seeing the capabilities of the steel wyvern. There was no mistaking it. It was not a steel wyvern but a lifeless metal controlled by a person. And if he were to guess where that came from. The only answer is the United States of Harthom, the country that declared war against them.

“Sayonara~,” The pilot said as he locked-on to the target waiting for the beep sound.

*Beeping!

With that sound, the pilot let out a delighted smile behind his mask. He pushed the button and one AIM-120 AMRAAM with an incredible speed of 4,900 kilometers per hour or 1,361 meters per second. No one can escape that missile unless your aircraft is the SR-71 Lockheed.

The missiles roared leaving a trail of smoke on its back. The missile successfully hit the wyvern creating a big explosion.

Now, the other F-22 Raptors are chasing the five wyvern overlord and share their fate with the captain. Their wyverns instantly vanished at the moment of the explosion as if they never existed.

Now, this squad of the bomber group is done, the rest of the bomber group began dropping their bombs as well to other locations where the military installations are located.

They were no escape, instantaneously and simultaneously explosions happened in every part of the country.

Five minutes it was peaceful, five minutes after it was not.

The moment the Sovereignty responded to war, the Air Force of the United States had already planned it out.

Thanks to their military bases all around the world which were built by President Thomas like magic. They were able to conduct bombing raids in all parts of the country.

Most of the military bases of the United States of Harthom are in uninhabited islands. They are close to the country of Sovereignty and were scattered around.

The moment they finished conducting a bombing raid, they returned back to their designated air bases to replenish and conduct the mission again.

This was the biggest bombing raid ever conducted in this world. The United States of Harthom plans in this war is to weaken their defenses by conducting an air raid to their military base without giving them a chance to breathe. After that, they will conduct a massive land invasion from all parts of the country inwards to the capital.

This battle plan will be possible thanks to the system of the president. The cost of this operation is a whopping 1,300,000,000,000$. With this scale, they will be able to invade the country without fearing logistics supplies.

If this was the real-world where magic is non-existent. This will be impossible.

Even if the Sovereignty wanted to increase its forces through conscription. Those conscripted soldiers will not have proper training because of the simultaneous attack of the United States of Harthom.

Now, every bombing squad in the United States is now conducting a massive air raid destroying the ports, logistical lines, agricultural fields, cultural buildings, and so on.

There is no international law like the Geneva Convention that can stop the United States' behavior in war. To them, this is revenge.

The satellite feeds of the United States of Harthom shows explosions in every part of the country. Satisfied expressions can be seen from each of their faces every time the explosion happened.

Thomas was having a wicked smile as if he didn't care how many lives were taken out just from this bombing raid.

It was wicked, malevolent, and corrupted. Thomas Harthom who felt guilty about killing thousands of lives against the Incredal Kingdom didn’t show guilt when attacking Sovereignty.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA” Thomas laughed like a devil as if he was possessed by a devil.

The generals and staffers looked at him fearfully at this sudden change of behavior.

“This is the true emotions of Humans! Humans are truly evil being the moment you broke through them. Rage, fear, hate, revenge, destruction….Evil is the true nature of humans and thanks to your Sovereignty! You unlocked this evil kind of me. HAHAHAHAHAH”

Now all the military staffers looked at him concernedly. This was not how a president should behave in the Command Ops but at that point, he was so scared that no one dared to stop him.

However, one person was able to. She embraced him from behind and Thomas's evil behavior stopped.

“Rest easy now, Thomas. I know that you’re feeling a lot inside but this is not how you should react in front of your subordinates.”

That soothing and lovely voice calmed him. It calmed the devil inside of Thomas. He looked at four sides and saw a fearful expression reflected on their faces.

“I’m sorry” He bowed and returned to his seat. At this time he was now acting more like a president.

“Ehem, listen, the goal is to make them surrender to our forces, use any means necessary to achieve that. Can I leave that to you, my loyal generals?”

The generals saluted and replied, “Yes, Mr. President.”

Now hundreds of bombers began conducting an air raid coming in all directions with the goal of weakening the military inside.

Earlier reports state that the Sovereignty is planning to have a massive military mobilization. .There are a lot of ships in the ports that it was impossible to be counted by hand. There are hundreds of them thanks to the imaging capabilities of the satellites.

They flew in the sky, covering the Sovereignty as if they were literally being invaded. There was no turning back, this goal is to destroy military installations and break the morale of the people in this war.

When people started not to favor war, that is where the country would collapse, forcing the Sovereignty to surrender. However, what if that was not the case?
