Unpredictable

Episode five.

Muhammad paced up and down his room thinking about what he should do. As he was doing that his mind darted back to his conversation with Abdulmalik two days ago when he visited him after bumping into Salma.

Muhammad you have to accept this. It’s qadr. Abdulmalik explained.

He was shocked and speechless after Muhammad finished blurting out his problems. Nonetheless,Abdulmalik still tried to convince him.

Remember by pleasing your parents,you are pleasing Allah. He destined you to be married to that girl and you can’t do anything about it. Maybe it’s the best for you to marry her than to marry Kamila and then end up being heartbroken.

Muhammad shook his head in disapproval.

I don’t even know how to face Kamila. Why did the damned girl accept the offer from my parents at first. Abdulmalik looked at him disgusted with what he said.

What. Muhammad are you crazy? You said that her step mom did everything along with your parents. You said she is an orphan. Didn’t you think that she may have also been forced into this just like you were? Have some generosity bro. Don’t blame her.

Your parents told you that she is a student and will be a practicing doctor next year. All you have to do is to provide her with shelter,food,clothes and take responsibility of her education. When she becomes a doctor she will be too occupied to have your time.

I even have a feeling that you may fall for her just like what happened between me and Amina. So chill out man.

Muhammad didn’t want that and he was acting like she was all gross that he was scrunching his nose. He couldn’t imagine loving her. It was too much.

A soft knock on His door brought him back to reality. Ya Allah it was the d-day. The nikkah is to be done that day.

Come in. He muttered.

Zulaiha and Saudah came in. They looked so beautiful. He smiled for the first time in two days. His sisters are beautiful Masha Allah and by Allah,it made him happy.

We know you won’t like this but we have to talk to you. Zulaiha started and Saudah continued. Muhammad we know you were forced in to doing this but please forgive mama and baba. They did it for your own good.

But Muhammad we love you and maybe our sister in law is not that bad. Give her a chance to prove herself. Zulaiha said in one breath.

Insha Allah. Said Saudah. They were already sobbing by now.

Muhammad was so touched that he moved closer and enveloped them in a warm hug. We will miss you. They both cried out through sobs.

Hey girls I’m still in this town plus i can visit You anytime and vice versa. He loves them so much and hate to see them broken even though they can be annoying sometimes.

May Allah bestow upon you his blessings. Math he guide you and protect you from all evil of every shaytaan. Ameen. They all answered.

Okay let’s go it’s time for the nikkah.

Salma was pacing her room up and down. The nikkah was done perfectly.

Alhamdulillah she had the courage to accept being the wife of a man she doesn’t love in front of the imam. Well it’s obvious she had to do it if not her step mom will strangle her.

She was so nervous that she felt sweat on her palms. She was walking back and forth when she heard a very hard knock on her door and she answered softly. Come in.

Ammu came in.after scanning the room, she looked at and said get ready. You’ll be taken to your husband’s house in two hours. Take a shower and get dressed. And with that she left.

Ewwwwwwww gross. My husband. Ugh. She scrunched her nose at the thought. It was so disgusting.

It was then that she realized the importance of her father in her life. She misses him so much. Her heart was burning. If he was alive none of this would have happened. He would have been there for her.

Yaaa Allah bestow your blessings upon my father and protect him from the punishment of the grave. Ya Allah give me the strength to live with this man. Give me the power to go through all this ameen yaa rabb.

She met her new maid who introduced herself as jessica. Jessica helped her prepare the food and she ate to her content. She placed his food in the fridge and she stick a letter to it saying “heat the food before you eat it”

Salma left for her lectures after some minutes of getting ready. What a life. She thought.

Muhammad woke up late that morning with a throbbing headache. He took some pain killer and he headed straight to the kitchen to grab something to eat. He was surprised to see her letter on the fridge. When he opened it, he saw some delicious looking food but it only made him angry. He grabbed some other thing and that’s how he ended up eating something else.

Why would she cook for him after everything that happened yesterday. What kind of a woman is she.

I wish i could get rid of her. He thought.
