Chapter 4

Gavin's POV

We just finished the discussion with my dad and now walking to my room. I absolutely feel like strangling Dan right now but he's my best friend so I can't kill him. I also need to inform my sister about the latest developments because she is the future Third in command and finding her mate is applicable for her as well and she would absolutely kill me if she hears it from anyone else.

To say our pack is strong is an understatement Red Moon pack is the strongest and most feared pack in Canada after us is the Blue Moon Pack and we are strongest because of course warriors of both packs are the strongest and deadly. Along with that our packs have been allies forever and the fact that we are neighbours with just a border separating both packs so we can easily help each in case of emergencies. Who would want to mess with us because if you are an enemy to one pack you automatically become the enemy to the other pack as well? Our female beta is from the blue moon pack. Anyway, I need to talk with Sierra so I decided to mindlink her.

'Si where are you?' I asked her

'In the kitchen grabbing a quick bite. Why?' she replied

'There's something important I and Dan want to talk to you about. Come to my room now and grab something for us as well' I spoke and quickly cut the link. We enter my room which is now clean and tidy. I made my way to my bed and throw a pillow on Dan's face. This i***t doesn't know when to shut up

"Ow! What was that for?" he whined like a baby and pouted

"I would have killed you if you weren't my best friend" I replied

"But what did I do?" He asked again

"Why did you have to open your big mouth and refuse a chosen mate" I yelled at him angrily

"Because I don't want a chosen mate and when I mate it would be with my true mate. I have said this a lot of times before. You don't want your true mate doesn't mean others don't want it either" he replied angrily. He is right he always did say that and he is right it was always me who didn't want a mate. I sighed, I just hope that my mate would be really beautiful so I can be proud to have her by my side. I don't want an ugly looking girl or a girl like Monica and Veronica. Dan interrupted my train of thoughts

"Did you ever even think that you are doing injustice to the poor girl the moon goddess has paired you with. She doesn't even know her fault for you not wanting her. Did you even think about how you would have felt if she didn't want you?" He asked. Now I absolutely hate my mate whoever she is because of her all of my family and friends have turned against me

"She has absolutely no reason and right to not want me" I replied burning with anger

"And you have the right? Why am I even asking you this question? There's no point arguing with you" Dan said disappointed we only argue with the whole mate situation and nothing else. Sierra had chosen that moment to make her appearance and I'm really glad and thankful for that

"Here" she said handing us each a plate of spaghetti and meatballs

"Thanks" Me and Dan replied at the same time

"So what do you wanna talk about" Sierra asked and Dan looked at me with a questioning gaze. He is always late at understanding things like these. Maybe because he doesn't have a sibling and he kept fighting with his only cousin for the last 3 years

"We were in dad's office after breakfast and we talked about us taking over the pack's responsibilities" I informed Sierra and realization dawned on Dan's face

"So that's good news, when are we doing that" she asked eagerly a smile lighting up her face making me release a heavy sigh

"Dad said we can only take over once we find our true mates or by challenging the existing one's in power" I replied disappointed

"That's not bad we have to find our mates anyway might as well do it now" she is just like Dan excited about finding her mate the only difference is she has been saving herself for her mate

"Did you see Gav even Si agrees with me?" Dan said rolling his eyes at me. I sighed quietly because I know I can't win this with them teaming up on me

"Fine, all of us start searching for our mates and we need to find them as soon as we can" I announced. Dan looked at me and cleared his throat

"Gav can we wait for a week before we start our search. Next week is our parents anniversaries and we have planned a surprise party for them remember so we have a lot to do and...." He trailed off

"And?" I questioned him with a raised eyebrow

"And I want to clear the air with my sister. She is only there for a few days before she leaves for her pack and I want her to have some good memories of us when she goes back which is the next day after our parents anniversary. It's her birthday that day and her Alpha ceremony as well" He said and I think we can manage a few days for him

"Okay" I replied

"Are you talking about Ana Dan?" Sierra suddenly asked

"Yeah. You know her?" he asked

"Of course. She is my friend and also she very smart and thanks to her I cleared my exams. Gav, did you meet Ana?" Si asked and I shook my head indicating I didn't

"Maybe you're not lucky enough then. She anyways deserves better than you anyways and she is very beautiful" she said smiling happily

"Yeah. She deserves the best" Dan said smiling as well. Wait these two are teaming up on me again and what do they mean she deserves better than me

"Are you two teaming up on me. And what do you mean am I not good enough" I was now getting angry

"Chill big brother. You are good enough but not for her. She is too good for you" she said throwing her arm around my shoulders

"Gav can you drop me off at the school I want to meet and surprise her now. Her classes must be over by now" Dan requested and I couldn't deny.

We made our way to my car and I dropped him outside the school and wished him good luck I didn't want to go inside till the parking lot because I'm tired I just want to go home and sleep a little. I started my car and made my way towards the packhouse.

Eliana's POV

My day at school was uneventful. I attended my classes had lunch and finally, the last class of the day is over. I make my way to my locker put my books away. Finally, I got to say goodbye to my school. I was making my way to the parking lot and I felt like I smell something good. It's very faint and I don't know what smell it is and Elsa is very restless I try and follow the smell but it disappeared and Elsa has calmed down. I don't know what's happening. I turn around the corner of the hallway to get outside but I bumped into the two famous bitches of the school and blue moon pack. Wow! And here I thought I was having a good day. I rolled my eyes and turned to go out but they decided to interrupt me

"Where do you think you are going b***h?" Monica sneered

"You don't even have the decency to apologize b***h?" Veronica chimed in

"I shouldn't be the apologizing you were not looking where you were going so you should apologize" I calmly replied

"You dare disrespect the future Luna and Beta female of the blue pack b***h" Monica spat

"Who you two? I don't think neither the Alpha nor the Beta is stupid enough to do something like that" I replied rolling my eyes. They don't know that I'm from the Beta family and I also know the Alpha family to understand that they are lying on top of that I can see it in their eyes that they lying

"So who do you think will be the Luna? Do you think the Alpha will take you as his Luna? Did you even look at yourself? You are nothing but a fat dog, you are ugly and a slut" Veronica said

She shouldn't have said that I never wanted to do this but I have a limit. No one dares disrespect me and now she will realize she has done a mistake. I can see from the corner of my eyes that both of them are going to attack me. I simply dodge their punches and hold them by their necks slamming them to wall

"You dare disrespect me b***h. Don't you dare speak to me like that ever again and never when I say never I mean never show me your ugly faces again? Lastly, stay away from the Beta family especially Daniel" I said using my Alpha tone making them flinch and look at me with wide eyes. I drop them on the ground leaving them gasping for air but, before I turn around I hear Dan's voice. Wow this couldn't have gone any better

"What's happening in here?" Dan questioned looking at the two bitches on the ground angrily. I just rolled my eyes looking at Veronica trying to struggle to get up

"Babe this b***h here just hurt me. She bumped into me and refused to apologize and she also tried killing the both of us" I looked at Dan with a raised eyebrow he just pushed her away which made me want to laugh out loud hard but I tried to suppress my laughter

"It's not babe. It's Beta Daniel. I think me and Gav had made it very clear that we are not interested in whatever you both have to offer. And we are not dating, never were and never will. So get it through your thick skull and her name is not b***h. Her name is Eliana my baby sister so you better be careful. Disrespect her once again and I will kill both of you myself. Now get the hell out of here" He said angrily. The way he said I'm his sister made me smile

"S--si--sister. I'm sorry I didn't know" She gasped. What drama queens

"Eliana we are really sorry" both the sisters said

"It's not Eliana, it's Alpha Eliana for both of you and your apologies are not required. Get hell away before I kill you myself" Their eyes were wide with fear as they scurried out of the hallway. I looked at Dan

"What are doing here?" I asked him

"I want to talk to you can we go to our spot and talk" he asked

"Sure. Let's go" I said and we made our way to my car. After driving for 20 mins we reached our destination.

Our spot is a beautiful lake with a waterfall by the mountains. It's near the border that connects both the packs together. It's our favourite place from childhood and this place is easily accessible by both the packs. We made our way near the lake and sat on the grass looking at the flowing water and the beautiful garden surrounding us

"So what do you wanna talk about?" I asked breaking the silence

"Lia I'm sorry" he said I looked at him puzzled

"Why are you saying sorry what happened at the school is not your fault" I replied

"No, I'm sorry for being a jerk for the last 3 years. I'm sorry I didn't become the brother you needed me to be. I'm sorry for fighting with you for stupid things and blaming you when it wasn't your fault. I'm sorry for saying mean things to you. I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me the most. I'm sorry for everything Lia. Please, please forgive me and give me another chance to become the brother you deserve. Please Lia?" He said tears streaming down our faces while he pleaded for another chance. Stupid Dan

"You're stupid, you know why do you have to make me all emotional. I probably look terrible crying like this" I said laughing and he chuckled

"I don't know about the others but my sister is the most beautiful girl in the world" He said smiling wiping my tears

"You won't probably say this once meet your mate" I pouted and he laughed

"Even when I find my mate my sister would be the most beautiful girl in the world. My mate would be the second most beautiful girl in the world and she will have to live with it" He said smiling making me laugh

"So will you give me another chance to become the brother you deserve?" He asked and I smiled at him

"I can never stay mad at you for a long you know that right. Come here" I said opening my arms he hugged me and kissed my forehead

"I promise I'll never hurt you again and I'll become the best brother there is" He said

"You're already the best brother. Don't worry about that" I said smiling hugging him tightly

It feels like finally, I got my complete family with us making up. It's not all bad

"I have some news. Today I and Gavin talked about taking over the pack's responsibilities. The Alpha and dad have agreed but they said we can only take over once we find our mates. So we will start our search after your birthday and Alpha Ceremony because a day before your birthday it's our parents anniversary so we have a lot of things to do because we have planned for a surprise party for them" He informed

"That's great news Dan and I want to help as well" I said excitedly

"Hmmm.. Yes we need your help for their dresses and theme for the party" He said

"Consider it done and as for the theme, we can have a wedding theme. We can also get them to renew their vows they'll be very happy and it would be a great surprise for them" I shared my ideas with him

"It's a great idea thanks Lia" He said excitedly

'No problem at all" I smiled happily this is going to be fun.
