Days had already passed since that night we had a drinking session. I had a tight headache the next day after that but I still got work. So I freshened up and decided to just hitch a ride with Paul when he sent Mariel to the hospital.
"Are you feeling unwell?" I raised my head when I heard Ate Ching's voice. Hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang tao ang nagtanong sa akin ng mga katagang iyan nitong nakaraang araw.
I forced a smile and said, "Kulang lang sa tulog Ate Ching."
She gazed at me worriedly. Then she only left after saying, "Don't overwork yourself. Magpahinga ka kung 'di mo na kaya. We can manage."
Tumango ako rito at nagpasalamat.
Hindi naman ako nagsinungaling. Kulang lang talaga ako sa tulog. Hirap akong makatulog these past few days.
