Episode 1: the day she met the mafia prince
The campus was loud that morning, filled with the usual chaos of students rushing to lectures, laughing in groups, and complaining about assignments they hadn’t finished. Amara Blake walked through it all quietly, her headphones in, her gaze fixed on her phone.
She liked it that way simple, unnoticed, invisible.
Amara wasn’t the type to attract attention. She preferred staying out of drama, out of trouble, and far away from anything that could disrupt her peaceful campus life. Her world was books, lectures, and quiet walks back to her hostel.
But that morning… something felt different.
A strange tension hung in the air.
It started with a sound.
Engines.
Deep, powerful and too controlled to be ordinary.
One by one, students began to slow down, conversations faded. Laughter disappeared.
Even the usual noise of the campus seemed to pause.
Amara frowned slightly and lowered one side of her headphones.
“ what’s going on?” Someone whispered nearby.
She turned her head towards the entrance of the campus.
And then she saw them.
A convoy of black luxury cars rolled through the gates.
They moved with precision, like they belonged to someone important, someone dangerous.
The cars stopped in front of the administration building.
Silence fell completely.
The doors opened.
First came the man in black suits. Tall. Expressionless. Dangerous looking.
They scanned the area like trained guards.
Amara’s chest tightened slightly.
Something about them didn’t feel right.
And then he appeared.
Dante Moretti.
Even before anyone said his name, his presence was impossible to ignore.
He stepped out slowly, calm and controlled, like the world around him, existing only to serve him.
Tall. Powerful. Dangerous.
His black suits fits him perfectly, but it wasn’t the clothes that made people stare it was him.
The way he carried himself.
The way his eyes looked at everything like he always owned it.
Students began whispering.
“ who is he?”
“ he looks dangerous…”
Amara watched without meaning to.
She should have looked away, but something about him made it impossible.
Then his eyes moved.
And stopped.
On her.
Amara froze.
No. That couldn’t be right.
But he was looking directly at her.
For a second, everything around them disappeared. No noise. No crowd. Just that silence collection she didn’t understand.
Amara quickly looked away, her heartbeat slightly faster.
A student suddenly ran past her and bumped into her shoulder.
“ hey..!” She gasped.
Her phone slipped from her hand.
Before it hit the ground, a hand caught it.
Amara slowly looked up.
And froze again.
Dante moretti was standing in front of her.
Her phone was in his hand.
But his eyes were on her.
Studying her face like she was something new… something interesting…
“ be careful,” he said calmly.
His voice was low. Controlled. Dangerous in its calmness.
Amara quickly took her phone, “ I’m fine”, she said, too fast.
That should have ended it.
But he didn’t move.
He just stood there watching her.
“ you’re not from my world,” he said.
Amara frowned. “ and what world is that supposed to be ? “
A faint smirk appeared on his lips.
“ the one you just stepped into.”
Behind him, his men, stood like shadows.
Behind her, the campus felt different.
And Amara Blake didn’t know it yet…
But her life had already changed forever.
