The start of forever
Ely attended his friend's Despedida Party. "Hi, it is so nice seeing you again. The same here. It has been a while."
By the way, may I ask who that girl is?" His friend replied, "Oh yeah, that is my sister Teena." Let me call her to introduce you.
Teena, I would like you to meet Ely. Teena replied, "Hi Ely, nice to meet you!"Ely awkwardly responded, nice to meet you too!
and the rest is history. Ely and Teena got along well with each other and started going out. Ely would always pick Teena up at the school where she was teaching. They seemed to like each other very well. Ely has been very consistent in courting Teena. They have something in common, which is being very generous and selfless. Teena would always see Ely giving away his own food to the needy even if he was extremely starving and that is one thing Teena loved about Ely. One day, on their way home, Ely asked Teena. "Are you happy to be with me?" Teena responded" Yes, of course. Why did you ask?" Ely said, nothing I am just curious to know.
Their relationship grew deeper and deeper and they became more comfortable with each other as time went by. Ely would extend his help to Teena in checking the test papers of her students and would record their scores. With all Ely's effort and kindness, it was not impossible not to fall in love with him. They would always eat out, chitchat, and would share all of their experiences with life. Ely thought attending Despedida's party was the avenue to find his true love. After two years of being together as lovers, Ely had the courage to face his greatest desire, and that was to have Teena be with him forever. He prepared for the day he would propose to her and considered a lot of things in life. Ely talked with Teena's friends to get to know more of her. He also tried to keep in touch with her co-teachers so he could get more information of what would make her feel happier. Teena noticed that, lately Ely did not pick her up nor help her check her students' test papers. She got worried about it and made a phone call to him. The phone rang" Hi Ely, what have you been up to lately?" He responded to her as if he was not interested and just said "Hi there, Teena, I was just busy with work." Little did she know that he was preparing for the grand event to propose to her. After that conversation over the phone Teena felt that Ely's desire for her had subsided and she was overthinking then. The following day, she headed to the school where she was teaching and had just prepared for her classes and when her day was about to finish the unexpected surprise came. Ely was waiting at the school's gate with a bouquet of flowers and chocolates and a small box of an engagement ring. When Teena was about to go out of the gate, she saw Ely waiting. Ely uttered the words she had been waiting for." Teena, the love of my life. Will you marry me?" Teena tearfully responded to him, YES Ely, I would love to marry you". And that is the start of their life together.
