Javvy
We straightened ourselves out, sitting back up on the bed.
“What are we going to do about this, Javvy?” Aura asked me, and I cast her a sidelong look.
“What’s the issue?”
She snorted, her eyes narrowing as if she thought I was mocking her, but I genuinely didn’t see the problem.
“The issue is, we’re related now,” she reminded me, and I cringed slightly at the idea.
“Not by blood,” I snapped. “And don’t say that. It creeps me out.”
“Well, imagine what’s going to happen when Ava gets older, and people tell her that her parents are stepsiblings. Something like this can and will ruin your business.”
I stared at her in shock, my brow furrowing.
“You think I give a s**t about the business?” I almost laughed. “Christ, you really don’t know me at all, do you?”
