Chapter 23 He kept his gun pulled but lowered as they moved down the dirt road, following it back the way they came. Sean walked about a step behind him, surprisingly keen of him to keep enough out of Dane’s way in case he needed to shoot anyone. He hoped they didn’t run into anyone who needed shooting—Dane wasn’t sure he could do it again. But he wasn’t going to think about that now.
