Disaster Coronation

The pack house was busy. Issac, Matthew and Raven were coming up with a tough border patrol group as we got ready for the ceremony. We were going to announce my place as a Luna, “Master,” I hear and gasp, dropping the plates. Ren ran to me, “what happened?” He asks, holding me as my eyes glaze, “Jaw?” Vera asks, “your coronation is coming up tonight?” I let Ren in on my mind-link with Jaw and his eyes glaze too, “yes, it is tonight.” Vera says. “Good, we will be there. Something is wrong and we feel it,” I sit up and look at Ren growl, “please do. We have been getting attacked by rogues lately, they’ve been after me.. the Alpha,” I say, “the Alpha found out you’re part of the Moon Goddess’s pack, we will be there,” the mind-link cuts off. “What happened?” Matthew asks worried, “it looks like we’re going to need the extra patrol after all and a few more seats for some guests,” Ren says and Matthew with Issac nods, running out to let the warriors know. “That was Jaw, wasn’t it?” He asks and I nod, “it would be better if there was supernatural help,” I admit, “you’re right. More protection for you,” I nod and smiles.

I got up the chair and Ren chuckles, pulling me down, “no, short stuff. Let me do it,” he reaches up without the chair to stick the lights on the wall, “hmph,” I pout and he laughs, “short stuff?” He asks and I flick him off, turning around, my hair hitting his chest as I walk off, “maybe, tonight?” He asks, grinning, “not even in your dreams,” I call out. Matthew and Issac chuckle, “go get the list and seats ready,” I then hear Ren growl at them with his Alpha voice and they clear their throat, “right away, Alpha,” I giggle.

I was ready to knock on Raven and Matthew’s door, I stop my hand, hearing the moaning and blush, “M-Matthew, wait… I have to help Ava get ready,” she gasps and it goes quiet, “I can help you with that task,” I hear Matthew chuckle. My heart jumped a bit and I gasp loudly, Ren had me over his shoulder, “damnit, Matthew! I’m getting you back,” I shout and laugh. “He mind-linked you, didn’t he?” I ask as he puts me down and chuckles, “you know I can’t answer that,” he kisses my lips. I kiss his lips back and he picks me up, “I thought you said, not even in your dreams,” he chuckles, nipping my earlobe. I moan and bite my lip as he kisses down my neck, lifting my shirt up. I unbutton his shirt and he smirks.

“Raven… we need to get these men off of us,” i tell her, “I know. Girl, help. Matthew is trying to undress me,” she giggles, “I can definitely help with that,” I bite my lip, moaning more as Ren unclips my bra, Vera.. I know you’re comfortable, can you get Jaw to scare these men a bit? Our coronation is in a few hours, we’re still a mess, I tell, “fine fine, Jaw?” Vera asks, “Master? You okay?” I smile at Ren as he kisses my lips softly and smiles back. I nuzzle his neck as my eyes glaze over, “it’s Ava, can you do me a favor and scare Ren Knight and Matthew Topaz off of me and Raven? We have to get ready for my coronation and you know how these wolves are when they are horny,” I say and I hear laughter, “as long as we get to scare human wolves, count us in,” the lights flicker and Ren looks up quickly, from kissing my neck. Jaw appears in his mystic wolf form, “off of Master,” Jaw warns playfully and see’s Ren’s face of horror as he gasps, falling off the bed, “what the f**k is that for, Ava?” he growls, “YO, WHAT THE f**k?!” We heard Matthew’s voice out loud and I laugh. Jaw disappears, laughing and I run out the room. Raven comes out of her room after, running to me and we both laugh, “you should have seen the look on Matthew’s face,” she was laughing hard and I laughed hard too as Ren came out, angry. Matthew came out afterward, also angry, his shirt was halfway open, “that’s not funny, Ava,” Matthew says. The others walks past us, staring at the guys. “One point for us girls, zero points for the guys,” we fist punch and smiles. Ren’s shirt was messed up completely, “oh, don’t worry girl’s,” Matthew smiles, “we’ll find a way to get you back,” Ren adds. Him with Matthew clear their throats, “back to your places,” Ren glared at them and they scatter off as they both fix their shirts, walking down the stairs. We laugh, walking back into my room, “that was fun, ugh. I’m glad I’m finally here with Matthew though. It’s been the best experience ever,” Raven giggles.

Flora comes in, “it’s finally time,” I smile at her and hugs her, “I’m sorry that I was so distant before, it was just…” she shakes her head, “you had a crush on Christopher, I know. It was hard, I’m sorry,” she says. I shake my head, “don’t apologize, because of that I was able to get my mate for real,” I think of Ren and Vera purrs. Stop it, we don’t want Ren running in here, I say and Vera giggles, going back.

Raven fixes this baby blue long dress as I put the heels on, Flora puts the last pin in my hair and finishes it off with the dangling earrings, “isn’t it too much?” It matched my eyes. “The haze season is coming in two weeks, you guys know what you’re doing? Ren tells me it would be better to not be near the unmated males of this pack during the haze,” they both nod, “Same, Matthew wants to take me to his parents cabin,” Raven says, fixing her hair, “mm, same,” Flora admits. We walk out my room, “isn’t it weird how they want to take us away? During that time? Like, coincidentally?” I ask them and they giggle, “you know how male wolves are.. possessive and definitely a s*x mach-“ we hear someone clear their throat and look back. Christopher, Ren and Matthew were standing behind us, “do you want to finish that sentence up, babe?” Christopher asks Flora. She blushes and Ren folds his arms across his chest, I look away from his gaze, blushing too, Raven joining me, “you over think too much,” Ren tells me, “you agreed to it, either way,” they all say in unison.

“Anyways. Yeah, we will see you men at the place,” I say walking back and turn around, “don’t…move,” Ren used his Alpha tone on me. I gasp, freezing. “We will see you later,” Raven and Flora says, “ah, no, Flora” Christopher uses his own Alpha tone, making Flora freeze at the top of the stairs. Raven runs down quickly, “Raven! Come back!” Matthew says loudly and chases after her and catches up to her causing her to giggle as he nuzzles her neck. I close my eyes feeling his hands on my arms, “you look, beautiful. No, you look breath-taking, short stuff,” he smiles, “you used your Alpha tone on me,” I frown. Flora and Christopher walk down, Christopher holding her close to him, “help,” I mind link Flora, “I need help too. Damned Alpha’s,” she mind-links me back.

“You were going to disappear on me,” he chuckles, nuzzling my neck and stops, pulling away, clearing his throat, “come on,” why didn’t he kiss me on my neck? He always does… every time, did that stunt with Jaw scare him? I was feeling guilty now, “is Matthew acting strange with you?” I mind-link Raven, “I went in to kiss his lips, he didn’t let me. He started talking,” she says, “maybe that stunt with Jaw sort of scared them from us?” I ask, worried as I interlock our fingers together, “I hope not, I won’t survive this haze,” she says, worried. I lean up and peck his lips, “what was that for?” He asks me, “just because I wanted to? You don’t want to kiss me anymore?” I ask him, “what? I never said that,” he shakes his head, “good,” I nod. Something was off.

The hall was starting to get full. The entire pack was coming in. I was getting nervous. “Luna?” I hear, “yes?” It was a warrior, “six men are here saying they are for their master?” I get up and Ren looks at me, “let them in,” I say. “Okay,” the doors open and six men about, Ren’s height came in. You could feel their energy fill up the area, making Ren uncomfortable and growl quietly. I forgot, when a random Alpha’s presence is stronger than the Alpha’s presence of the territory, it’s challenging him, Jaw?” I ask. The pack looks at them, “Master,” all six men get on one knee and bow to me, “tch, Matthew… I should have un-invited them with that f*****g stunt they pulled on us,” I hear Ren say to Matthew, “trust me, you and I both,” I hug Jaw and he hugs me back. I smile,” okay, Ava. That’s enough,” Ren says and pulls me back lightly, he’s jealous, “we apologize, Alpha Ren. We tried to suppress our presence as much as we could,” the other guy says, “you’re all Alpha’s?” Ren asks, shocked. Jaw let’s out a laugh and nods, “yes, we are the Midnight Blood Demon-wolves, all Alpha’s,” wow… “how do you work together without..” they chuckle, “I’m sorry master, your words are funny. We are not human wolves, we come from the pits of hell as you guys can say. We Alpha’s of the underworld are different from human Alpha’s or Lycan’s,” Jaw says, “really? Can you teach them a few tricks?” I ask. Ren growls, “you’re pushing it, Ava,” he glared at me. I nod and look from him, “thank you for coming,” I tell them. They nod, “we will be at the door,” they take position as the pack continues their talking before the coronation.

“That really wasn’t cool, Ava,” Ren says after, “what? What I said?” I ask, “everything. Don’t hug… another Alpha,” he says, “what? You got jealous? They aren’t even human wolves, Ren,” I walk into the kitchen, “it doesn’t matter what they are, I don’t want another Alpha’s scent on you, Sam will lose it,” he argues, “okay, Ren! I’m sorry I welcomed the ones who can protect me!” I argue with him, “you think I can’t f*****g protect you?”

“I never said that you couldn’t, Ren… but they’re probably more powerful than any wizards that are with the rogues,” I say. “Can you teach them a few tricks? Their presence was challenging me. On my territory,” he hissed at me. “It was a joke. I obviously knew their presence was bad, but I was joking,” I tell him, glaring at him back, “there are some shits that aren’t considered jokes, Ava,” he says quietly, “okay, Ren! Im sorry!” I growl out and brush past him, “Ava, don’t walk away from me,” he tries to reach for me, “I think it’s best you let master cool down or it won’t end pretty,” Jaw stops him. He glared at Jaw for a few seconds and walks away, “f**k this!” I flinch as he throws the plates on the ground hard, making the pack look at the direction and Ren starts walking out. Issac and Matthew behind him. I run into the bathroom, crying quietly, closing the door before anyone saw me, “oh great, the coronation is in an hour and my make up is a mess,” I whisper. Sliding down the door.

Raven and Flora come in after I mind-link them, “he’s a d**k sometimes,” I whisper, “now you know my pain when Christopher does that, he’s the same,” Flora nods. They fix my make up a few minutes before, “no more crying or you’ll eyes will be puffy,” Flora says again. Raven wipes my eyes, before the eyeliner and fixes my hair up more.

We walk out as the bell rings. Ren doesn’t even look my way. I notice, anger were in his eyes, darting at Jaw as I climb up the podium. I decide to sit away from him and he growls, rubbing his finger over his bottom lip, looking forward. I was actually hurt, he was this mad at me.

“Today, the Winter Pack has a lot to celebrate. After four long and hard years, we have finally found our Luna,” Ren says, standing on the front, “tonight we will welcome in my mate and our Luna, Ava Lance,” I get up right on queue, walking next to him. He places his hand in his pocket and I frown, “Sam is ignoring me, Ava… fix this,” Vera says, I don’t know what to do.. Ren doesn’t even want to hold my hand, Vera helps me put a wall up around me so he doesn’t feel my heart shattering.

“I, Ava Lance. Accept the honor of being Luna of this wonderful pack, the Winter Pack. I will do my best and give my all in to protecting and strengthening this pack, along with my…” my voice trailed off a bit. The tears wanted to come out, “my mate. I take this oath, I pledge to give my heart and soul to the Winter Pack and make sure it is safe,” I tell them. They all cheer and the bell rings again. My heart wanted to push the tears out. I hold them back a few moments more, “to the Winter Packs’ new Luna and my mate, Ava Lance. Welcome!” they all bow to me. Jaw and the Demon Wolves also do the same.

“Master… we smell rogues, six O’clock.. we will handle it,” they disappear and Ren notices. He sees my eyes glaze, “please… be careful. They have a wizard with them,” I say, “we’re demon wolves. We break these magic laws this world carries,” Jaw chuckles.

“What happened?” Ren asks me after the whole ceremony. I ignore him, gulping the champagne glass and puts it down, taking my heels off and walks upstairs, “hold it, Ava. Talk to me, why did they leave?” Ren stops me, “get off of me,” I growl at him. He does, looking at me, “leave me the f**k alone!” I slap him, “whoa, Ava. Why would you do that?” Matthew comes up and I glare at Ren, “happy?” the tears finally come down and I roll my eyes at him running into the room, slamming the door. I lay on the bed crying my eyes out. “The party is f*****g over! Everyone out! NOW!” The loudest scream heard from Ren. I hear everyone dispersing quickly, “s**t, Ren. Calm down,” I hear Matthew. The door bangs lightly, “Ava, open this f*****g door,” he says. “Leave me alone, you asshole!” I scream, throwing my heels at the door. “f*****g s**t!” I hear him punch a whole in the wall next to the door. “Get the f**k away from me, right now, Matthew. I swear to f*****g god!”

My happy world was crumbling. The world I finally built up because of Ren was crumbling down. Quickly. I wanted it over.

I heard smashing of things, three rooms over. Ren’s original room. I covered my ears, closing my eyes as I try to fall asleep.
