I won’t deny that Tiffany’s deduction scared me a little, especially when she mentioned that we might need to transform.
“Do you think we’ll have to fight?” I asked, dreading the idea of facing my first battle without any prior training.
“I’m just saying it’s possible because that open door doesn’t look good,” she replied.
I looked at Mariam and saw that her eyes were also shining with hidden terror.
