Leander was waiting for my response after his proposition to court me.
Tiffany watched me, amused, fully aware of how difficult this situation was for both me and Anthony. For her, it must have been fantastic that I was accepting my lycan cousin's proposal, freeing her from having to deal with my attempts to take Anthony from her.
"Isn't this wonderful?" Tiffany said. "Come on, Mariam, accept Leander's proposal. The Ventrue twins getting together on the same day, how perfect."
