Mariam's POV
We arrived back at the pack house in just a few minutes. I was so worried about Melany that I had completely forgotten about what had happened just minutes before, and I was even surprised when Leander took my hand as we got out of the car.
That’s when I came back to reality.
Now I was, officially, Leander’s partner, and Anthony, unofficially still, Tiffany’s boyfriend.
What the hell!
Melany came out of the house as soon as she saw us arrive, and I noticed the way her eyebrows arched when she saw me holding hands with Leander.
But there were much more serious matters to deal with at that moment.
“Are you okay? Did Robert do anything to you?” I asked my friend.
“I’m fine, Mary. Robert would never lay a finger on me without my permission, but he scared me.”
