Mariam's POV
The next day at school was absolute torture.
Tiffany didn’t let go of Anthony for a second. She clung to his arm like he was a trophy she had just claimed, and she wanted to show him off to everyone. Even though Anthony tried to appear satisfied with the relationship, I could see the sadness in his eyes.
What was Tiffany trying to accomplish with this?
Did she not realize how much she was torturing him?
I had to excuse myself several times to the restroom to hide the tears that kept streaming down my cheeks uncontrollably.
And Artemis wasn’t much help!
She spent the entire day howling, tormented by Apollo’s absence.
"You can’t do this to us, Mariam. You have to fix this," she would say when she finally tired of howling.
