I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Leander was approaching from the house, pushing our friends ahead of him as if he had captured them, and now the odious and arrogant Prince Ulfric was congratulating him for it.
Leander had been deceiving me this whole time. He had taken advantage of me to gain prestige with his captors and probably secure his freedom at the expense of mine.
Or even at the cost of my life and Anthony's, because as Ulfric had said, "a lion simply gets rid of the ants that bother him."
"Who are these useless ones?" Ulfric asked after giving Tiffany, Robert, and Spencer a dismissive look.
"They were in the house, looking for the hostage," Leander replied without taking his eyes off the prince. "There's no doubt they came with the Ventrue."
