Prologue
The heavy wind rose the dust high in the air towards the clouds. The snow on the ground also rose high due to the wind storm. The sounds of crickets, owls and trees were heard so loudly. Indeed there was a forest. A thick one to be exact. Tall trees and cover trees all over the eca's of land. This night was definitely going to be a misfortune to an unlucky fellow driving at night. And it was. A fine Lamborghini moved through the crazy storm hoping to scale through unscathed. The person driving blasted iniko's music at the loudest volume singing alone at the top of his lungs. His female companion Sat at the front seat texting away on her phone ignoring the storm before her. She was so engrossed in whatever conversation she was having. Indeed a typical teenager. "Damn! Isn't this song great?" He exclaimed. It seemed iniko was his favorite musician. She rolled her eyes. "You are causing a noise pollution, dad." He chuckled. "When your mom and I were dating, we made this song our song. I love it so much." He reduced the volumebas he spoke. "Yeah, yeah. May she rest in perfect peace." She said unmoved. "You speak like that, 'cause you never met her. She's great!" He praised. She sighed. "Maybe." He chuckled. "Woah! Such a weather this dark night! I can't imagine we're still alive in such weather." "If I die, it's on you, dad. 'Cause I clearly recall telling you not to go today. We could move tomorrow why this night?" She complained putting down her phone. He chuckled. "You wouldn't understand until you experience it. You know, it's fun to travel at night. There are so many amazing things that only happen at night." Indeed, amazing things that 'only' happen at 'night'. But what he was thinking wasn't what he got. You know, life isn't always what we dream about. You want gold, you get fungi. You want happiness, you get heartbreak. Life's just not fair. The car came to a halt which got the humans surprised. They turned to each other worried. The girl looked at her father for some answers and vice versa. "You should go check, dad." She's said and looked back at her phone then gasped in surprise. "No service!" She rushed out of the car quickly to find service someplace. Her father followed in suit worried. "Susan! You can't just do that. It's so late!" He called rushing up to her. "Look, dad, I was just chatting with JJ and the chat was getting spicy, I can't have server issue!" She complained. Instantly, they couldn't hear anything. Silence. Not even their own voice. Her father's words weren't heard anymore. Her screams of frustration gone silent. They began to see their cold breath which made them stop to process what was going on. Their horrified look alone was scarier than what was behind it. They looked around in horror. They slowly stalked towards their car. As they got close to it, they heard a cry of a baby. It was very loud and deafening, but stopped abruptly. Then a sound of a child screaming was heard, but also stopped abruptly. They tried touching the car but their hands only went through like they were ghosts. They grew even more scared at that but they couldn't hear themselves as they screamed. Out of the thich forest, a fog emersed and gathered at a spot. The fog slowly formed a person in a foggy coat which moved with the wind. They both turned to the person who's body was that of the fog. No one could know if it was a male or female. The hair was hidden in a hoodie and the head was bowed. The fog-being moved towards them, as it levitated in the air. Once it got to them, all they could hear was a ringing sound. They closed their ears trying to silence the sound but it even got louder. From all openings on their head, blood flowed out. Thick black blood to be exact. It was scary to view. The fog-being touched both their shoulders and out burst their screams with their eyes shinning bright white. Their hands were spread as they felt that immerse pain. Their whole body was so stiff. Once the fog-being let go of them, they fell to the floor lifeless. Their eyes were burnt out and their ears, nose, mouth, and the burnt out eyes were bleeding. It was just like a horror movie. The fog-being squatted to their dead bodies and waved its hands over their faces whichade them instantly catch fire. They burned as if they were fueled every second. The fog-being got up and moved to the forest. It stopped abruptly and turned to the burning bodies. It sighed and shook its head, then turned back to the forest and burst into fog, which moved back into the forest.
