CHAPTER 19

Damien’s POV

I heard her yelling, she was mumbling names, I heard her as she was calling for Sam and her dad and some other guy. I tried to go closer to her, to calm her down and let her know no one would take her away, I was here now. I was going to protect her.

But she wasn’t listening. She screamed louder and I could feel how abandoned and desperate she felt. I never saw her this broken, she was always so strong and intimidating. I watched her pushing herself from the ground but her wounds were too many and her body was far too weak. I ran to her and took her tiny figure in my arms before she collapsed on the floor.

She was still mumbling about someone, she was afraid, she didn't want to go back. Back where? I thought but James’s whimpers broke my thoughts.

“Mate.. she is weak, she is dying. She will leave us. Do something, SAVE HER” and by the end he was howling in pain, inside my head.

He was right, her heartbeats a few seconds ago beat extremely fast but now they were fading away. She was dying.

“No, no, you can’t leave me. Please” I begged. An alpha that everyone is afraid was now begging desperately.

Damien rushed out of the dining room with Semeli secured in his arms. He run with inhuman speed out of the pack house. Ignoring everyone while he run. He felt Jason trying to mind link him but he couldn't waste any precious time explaining it to him.

He crashed the door of the pack hospital

“DOCTOR.. I NEED HELP! SOMEONE HELP HER” he yelled and everyone stood frozen in fear and shock from his inhuman growls.

A doctor appeared looking at him with wide eyes.

“YOU NEED TO SAVE HER. DON’T LOOK AT ME, DO SOMETHING” he yelled and the doctor flinched from his harsh tone but he shake it off as soon as he saw the girl in his arms who was dying.

“Follow me, we don't have much time” was all he said and sped out of the entrance and Damien followed him.

The doctors put Semeli inside the surgery room and told Damien that he is not allowed to come in. He was furious from their disrespect, he needed to be closer to his mate. But as soon as he saw her body jerking up and down. He knew he needed to get out of there and let them do what they know. They needed to save her and he was wasting valuable time arguing with them.

Semeli was still in the surgery room for what seems like centuries but only a couple of hours. She had many wounds and she had lost a lot of blood. After Damien rushed her to the hospital. Jason and Daisy brought Sam in. He was in a better condition than her. He also lost a lot of blood but he woke up a few minutes ago.

When he woke up his only thought was Semeli, did she survive, is she okay? he was asking Daisy. She informed him that she was in surgery and they still don't know anything else. Daisy didn't have a scratch on her as both Semeli and Sam made sure of it. Lily was a bit shaken up but she was fine as soon as she was wrapped in Sam’s arms.

When Lily fall asleep, Daisy went to check how Semeli was doing. Leaving Sam in his room with a doctor wrapping a bandage around his torso to secure the stitches.

Daisy made her way to the waiting room, where her mate and her alpha, Damien were sitting. Damien looked horrible, his wounds healed by themselves but he looked in so much pain.

“How is she doing?” she asked, her voice above a whisper.

Jason just shakes his head and sighs. She moved closer to him and he pulled her on his lap hugging her belly.

“She protected us all. If it wasn’t for her..” she whispered to herself and felt hot tears running down her eyes. Jason wiped them off with his thumb and hugged her even closer.

“I know, we are lucky to have her as our luna” he said back

Damien felt lost, his mate was in the surgery room and he didn't know if she would survive or not. He heard Jason calling her Luna and he broke down in tears. The big bad alpha was crying once again over a hunter girl.
