The hunter luna

CHAPTER 8

He sensed that she wasn't following him and he stopped in his tracks. He turned back only to see her carrying two plates to the kitchen, hers and Sam’s. He was stunned by her manners. He knew that she was a high rank hunter coming from one of the biggest families of hunters but she was so different from what he would have imagined. She doesn't consider herself as a superior and she treats most of the people with respect. She doesn't think like them, Lily is a visible example, she is an omega, the lowest rank in a pack yet she takes such great care of her. She fed her and made sure she was full before serving herself, she will be such a great mother to their pups. And just the thought of that warmed his heart.

“She is something else isn't she?” Sam whispered with a smile on his lips and Damien glared at him. Even though he hates his guts, he can’t disagree with him, she is indeed something else, she is special.

“Sorry” she said coming out of the kitchen with a frown on her face. Damien starts walking again and he knows she is close, he can smell her beautiful scent that sends shivers down to his entire body. She affects him in so many ways and she doesn't even realize it. He turned back to look at her only to find her looking back, towards the kitchen.

“Is everything all right?” His voice was still cold but she could sense the worry lacing it.

“Yes everything is fine” she said her face didn't show anything but her eyes told another story.

Something is definitely wrong but he wont press the matter.

He enter his office first and soon after Semeli got in and Sam trailing behind her. After a few minutes of silence, Damien decides to talk.

“So you want to talk about the treaty.”

“Not actually.” Semeli replied back and both Damien and Sam turned to look at her with wide eyes. They were waiting for her to continue and she did.

“I know how the ranks in packs work, usually the omega has a good reason that he or she becomes one. In the case of Lily though I can’t find one, unless one of her parents did something bad before she was born but if I recall correctly they were not members of your pack. So I am asking why she is an Omega Alpha Damien and why is everybody treating an innocent child like she is a vicious murderer and YOU don't do anything about it?” She finished and her body was radiating pure anger and sadness towards the little girl.

“I-I.. Well..” He was out of words, Semeli’s speech caught him by surprise. His wolf from the other hand was jumping from excitement that his mate is caring about his pack member as if they were her own. He sighs before turning to look at her. Those beautiful eyes he can get lost for hours by staring at her.

“It’s not that simple” was all he said hoping she would understand that as an Alpha there were certain things that he couldn't do, he couldn't show any sign of weakness and Lily to his eyes was a weak link. Semeli was too angry to understand the whole picture he thought as her anger only grew bigger.

But she did understand, she could clearly see what was going on. Lily is young and unable to fight for herself especially when no one shows her how. The little girl reminded herself when she was younger, maybe that was one of the many reasons she liked the little kid so much. But at that exact moment she decided she will be the one who will help her out of this mutt house.

Without another word Semeli storm out of the office ignoring Sam who was calling her name. She made her way back to the kitchen only to see Lily on the floor holding her red cheek and tears rolling down her eyes. She looked at her with so much sadness and then her face turned into an angry one, when she saw the same she wolf who dared to talk to her back when they were eating. And then all she could see was red.

She made steady steps towards the she-wolf and before the b***h in front of her can react. Semeli grabbed her by the hair and hit her head on the counter twice. But she didn't stop there, she was too angry to stop. She threw her on the floor and bend down towards her.

“How about you fight someone your size b***h” she snarled and start hitting her repeatedly. She felt some moisture on her hands and she knew it was blood but that only fed her anger even more. The she-wolf was by now unconscious but she wasn't planning to stop until she will end her once and for all.

She felt two warm arms around her and she try to fight them off but the shots of electricity she felt somehow calmed her down. She stood up and came face to face with an angry Alpha Damien. She locked her eyes with his and he could see the sadness inside her. She broke the eye contact and turned to the crowed that formed in the kitchen.

“Lily is under the protection of the Hunter family” she yelled with so much pride of her family name.

“If any of you try to harm her in any way, you will face more severe consciences than the mutt on the floor. And trust me when I say I wont stop until you and your entire bloodline suffers. You will wish for your own death after I am done with you” She spat, the power and anger radiating from her body made everyone sick to the core. She was indeed a woman that you shouldn't mess with and now they know why.

And with that she moved her body towards the little kid who was still on the floor. Her tears had long stopped but she looked mortified. She try to go closer to her but Lily whimpered and limped her body to where Sam was standing. He picked her up and whispered something to calm her down and it worked as her little body relaxed in his arms.

“Everybody out and take Roxana to the pack doctor” Alpha Damien spoke in his alpha tone and everybody bowed their heads and moved out of the kitchen. Two guys took the she-wolf, Roxana, out with them.

“And you, in.my.office.now” he roared and Semeli nod showing no emotion but hurt in her eyes as she followed silently behind him. She knew that her actions had consequences but she wasn't sure how severe they may be.
