The hunter luna

CHAPTER 4:

Alpha Damien stopped to his tracks and took his beta by the neck.

“What do you mean no?” he growled, while trying to control the beast inside of him and not kill his beta.

“If its.. who..” he tried to say but the grid on his neck was making it impossible to say anything. He let him go and impatiently wanted to know more. After a few seconds Jason could breath again and turned to his alpha.

“If it’s the hunter girl… she is already taken” was all he said and James howled in pain.

“What do you mean taken, by who?” he asked, his voice giving away his pain and distress.

“I-I mean.. she is.. already engaged… to another guy” he said avoiding looking him in the eyes.

Engaged.. another guy.. those few words were repeating inside his head. James was howling in pain. Someone else has his mate, the woman who was destined for him and only him. He felt a sharp pain inside of him and fell to his knees. It was too much, he waited for years to find her. He searched everywhere, in every pack of the world but he never did once succeed. He felt so torn and so broken.

Every passing second, he felt the pain grow more, he felt his heart getting violently ripped out of his chest. His vision was starting to get blurry. He whimpered from the pain and he felt his body crushing on the floor, he pull his knees on his chest and hugged them, trying to somehow stop the pain he felt.

He waited so long to meet his mate only to find her and not be able to be with her. To top it all up she was a human and a hunter at the same time. The strongest alpha in the world was desperately trying not to cry, but he failed. Small drops escaped from his eyes and at that moment he thought this was the end until.

“Alpha Damien, are you okay?” A small voice laced with worry was heard.

A small girl around the age of five appeared, she had soft brown curly hair and piercing blue eyes. She hesitantly approached Damien but as soon as she saw the tears in his eyes she hugged him immediately, he hugged her back and sob quietly.

“Don’t cry.. please..” she said and her voice cracked in the end. She was getting emotional as well, it was the first time she saw her alpha crying and she didn't like it one bit. He was one of the few people who treated her nicely.

“What did you do to him?” an angry voice asked loudly and Alpha Damien’s eyes shot open. The small girl turned to face the woman who spoke and she stared at her in awe, she was so beautiful yet so angry. She couldn't stop herself from worrying, if she did something wrong but the woman was throwing daggers with her eyes to beta Jason.

“I-I.. I.. d-didn’t” he started, he couldn't form a proper sentence. Jason stayed frozen to his spot, he didn't move at all, the scene unfolding in front of him was so confusing.

Semeli went towards Alpha Damien and kneel down to face him.

“Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” she said with a soft voice laced with worry.

Damien’s eyes were still wide and he couldn't say a word.

“She worries about us, she cares, she won't reject us” his wolf screamed with excitement inside his head.

“I don’t know what you did before I came here but touch him again and I will personally chop your head off. Am I clear?” She spat angrily at Jason.

“She thinks Jason can hurt us. She is so cute when she is angry. She will be the perfect luna. Just look at her” his wolf said again amused and with so much love for his mate.

Jason took a step back and raised his hands. The little girl giggled and Semeli turned to look at her, just now realizing her presence. She was so angry when she heard someone crying that she was focusing only on the guy on the floor.

The little girl continued her giggles and left the room, Semeli smiled and watched her leave before turning to the man on the ground. She stood up and offered her hand to help him up as well.

He was hesitating for a few seconds but he raised his hand and took hers. The moment they touched, Semeli felt a shock of electricity running through her body. Her eyes softened for a few seconds and stared directly inside his, but she turned away and rubbed her palms on her skirt. Damien’s wolf whimpered but she couldn't hear him. He turned to look at her once again but she was looking at the ground.

She cleared her throat and then turned to Jason again.

“Where is your alpha? We have some business to discuss” she asked with a blank face.

Jason and Damien turn to each other, they were both in shock for a mere few seconds before Jason cleared his throat and motion with his hand.

“Alpha Damien this is the guest we were expecting”

Semeli's eyes wide but she turned her face blank again, showing no emotion at all.

“I would have never guessed.” she said softly with a smile that she quickly hid.

“Semeli Hunter, pleasure” she said again using her business voice and raised her hand for a hand shake.

Damien smirk and took her delicate hand in his and kissed it, hearing her gasp, his smirk grew into a full on smile. She cleared her throat again and try to pull her hand away but Damien didn't let her go. He loved the sparks between them, he was sure that she felt them as well.

“Semeli..” he said testing her name

“The pleasure is all mine beautiful” he said with a husky voice and he felt her shiver. He already had an effect on her.

Semeli turned to look at Jason when he was heading out and when he was out of sign, she turned to face Damien. To say that she was curious why an alpha, one that the world describes as ruthless and cruel, was sitting on the floor sobbing while a little child was comforting him was an understatement. But she knew better to interfere, she already made a scene and it wasn't a good sign.

He was still holding her hand in his but she didn't make a move to remove it. She felt something strange, a feeling she never felt before. He was like a magnet that was pulling her towards him. She felt warmth radiating from his body and she wanted to hide her body inside his arms. He made a step forward and she stayed still. His wolf was screaming to go closer and he obeyed. He took his free hand and placed it behind her back and lightly pushed her towards him. Their bodies were inches apart, she could feel his warm breath touching her face. Her heart was beating faster by the minute.

He let her hand go and she felt her heart ache for his touch. He smiled, he must have sensed her need as well and he place his hand on her cheek. With his thumb he caressed her cheek, she leaned to his touch and closed her eyes. She wanted to feel guilty and pull away, what was happening was beyond unprofessional but she couldn't stop herself. She opened her eyes again only to see the gorgeous man in front of her staring back at her. Without realizing it she smiled and they both leaned closer at the same time.
