"Airi"!!! Screeched my mom outside of my Bedroom
"Airrrii get up you will be late for school"!!! she screeched again “I am up mom I will be down do not worry" i mumbled as i rolled over on my extremely lumpy full-size mattress. I looked down to see my cat i snuck in every night curled up next to me she was an all-white Siamese with blue eyes I took to calling Jaleesa, "at least you do not have to go to a school and listen to boring lectures it would interrupt your nap times and whatever else you do all day when i am gone." I said flippantly she opened one eye and just glared at me like b***h you complain too much. she stretches i give her love pats and scratches behind the ear and watch her scamper out the window. it’s become a routine of sorts, i guess watching her jump from branch to branch.
I grab all my book and notebooks and my sketchbook and stuff them in my book bag I rush through a steamy shower rubbing out the kinks in my sore muscles. I pulled my hip length black hair into a messy ponytail and pulled on the norm skinny black jeans and black tank top with black t-shirt over that and my leather jacket and black knee-high leather riding boots. I usually grabbed a snack for breakfast from the cafeteria. So, I did not have to bother with people at all. Its better that way everyone I usually got close usually wind up dead or hurt. But I was okay with my solitude oh… s**t I slapped myself in the forehead I forgot to grab my mother’s choker necklace she gave me. I frowned but my mother did not give me a choker necklace I wonder where that thought came from as I rushed up there to get the ruby and diamond cross necklace choker the was finely stitched into a scrap of felt cloth that had laces to tie closed in the back. Then I rushed down stairs calling out goodbye to my mother as I kicked my remodeled 2019 Indian Chieftain Classic motor cycle into gear . something left to me by my father who passed away. my parents are pretty much cool they don’t trip over how hurt I am going to get because well the stipulation was, I pass both riding and written examine with a 90% but I passed with a 100% so I only had to wear a helmet and do my own maintenance and I am pretty much allowed to ride it. Anyway I pretty much live a boring life I thought as I pulled up to Higginsville, Missouri high school. I ignored the jealous looks I got from all the students and parked my bike and went to my first class. Not bothering to stop at the cafeteria. Expecting it to be a pretty average day.
Nicholas POV
“Why am I attending such a mediocre educational institute!” I roared making my frustrations clear to my brother who looked at me extremely bored but than Adrian always looked that way.
“Unfortunate for you even though you are older than me you were changed at age 17 years old and I was made a vampire at 25, by father sorry bro you got the short end of the stick plus they said that there’s a possibility the fairy queen’s lost twin heiress is here and you can since fairies a lot better then we can, and we cannot leave that to chance the King of the unseelies find her” he said that stamen as if it was the most boring thing he had to recite in the world. I opened the door and got out of the limo and it hit me the smell of Autumn and strawberries in a cool rainstorm. She is here and checkmate. It has begun. I heard my brother’s snarls behind me. “I will find her she is in this school.” I hollered over my shoulder. But first I had something to deal with or someone rather to deal with. I waited for the limo to be out of sight and like lightening I was ran to the house I knew Azure Leblanc to be staying at.
She promised her daughter to me as a future mate for killing her husband the lady was cold as ice she had her husband murdered and sold her daughter to the son of the godfather who happened to be a vampire, way to go lady all for money.
I knocked on the door swiftly knowing I only had 25 minutes before my first class started. Azure opened up the door,
“honey did you lea..” she stopped in mid sentence and turned pale as hell
“Nicholas, I did not was not expecting you to show up at this time.” Her inner turmoil hidden behind a cold facade. “Did you forget your promise Azure or do I need to remind you I felt my fangs lengthen in response. “No..no I did not forget but she is at school right now” She stammered looking to be concerned for once but it did not mater. “okay well give me your most recent picture of her and since we will be going to the same school might as well get to know her.” I said smirking at her liking how she feared me. She handed me a photo out one her many family picture frames. A girl with onyx black hair and bright golden eyes looked up at me with a mischievous smile wearing a black leather jacket while sitting on her motor cycle she is extremely gorgeous her long black hair hanging past her waist her beautiful dusk rose pink lips and bright catlike golden eyes.
“Thank you miss Leblanc” I emphasized on the miss to torment her. and ran all the way to school barely arriving at my classroom before the bell rang.
But it looks like I was not the only one late. The smell of Roses and strawberries in a cool summer rain hit me as I bumped intentionally into Azure’s daughter and now I knew why she was reluctant to let her go, she is not hers biologically, I almost laughed out loud to myself.
