Chapter 38 The elevator doors opened on the eighth floor to SLS in gold letters, which stood for Stevenson Legal Services. I crossed their pristine industrial blue carpet, to the cherry-wood receptionist's desk where Amberly Davidson usually sat, which was vacant. She must have left, since it was Friday afternoon.
