CH#22 He wouldn't know what hit him

The rest of the day went slow; I was tugging myself to get through the day. If Cam had a girlfriend, why on earth did he kiss me that's cheating isn't it? even if one's drunk.

You know what? I don't care he has a girlfriend. I don't even like him right. but you do my inner voice said don't listen to it my brain said.

"You both are wrong I'm not listening to any of you."

"Care to introduce me to the imaginary people you're taking to? Maybe tell me what they said maybe I can help in deciding who's wrong." Nate said.

That's when I realized I said it out Loud

"I though you're a doctor don't how come aren't you ever busy?” I asked.

"What can I say I'm smart and I care about my family." he said.

"What kind of answer is that?" I replied.

"You know what I think, I think that someone is trying to avoid a question." he said.

"I think that you're thinking right." I replied.

"Now answer my question" I said.

"Hahaha , you're forgetting who you're talking to. Now tell me what's going on with you and why are you frowning at your homework." he said.

"Nothing.” I said.

"Your face says other wise, it's something alright. So what it is, you know you can tell me anything it will be our little secret if you want it to be." he said.

I thought a lot about to tell him or not its about his brother and I don't know if he'll like it or support me. But during the past months I know he's like the brother I never had but always wished to.

"It's about Cameron.” I said.

"Even though he's my brother, I know he's an i***t and you're my sister too I'll kick his ass if I need to what did he do?" he asked.

And I told him everything from the night at the cliff to the ice-cream run to the fireworks right till when he kissed me and then his girlfriend popped up.

He sighed deeply and finally said.

"Cam is the most honest when he's drunk so that's for sure he likes you. Now before I evaluate Cameron I need to know do you like him?" he asked.

"Yes, no. I don't know." I replied. What? he asked and that's What's going on in my mind.

"You know, the choice is yours you either try to forget about him and move on or you can make him beg for you." he said.

"How do I do that?" I asked my ears perked up.

"There's one thing men or even women can't stand is seeing someone they like with someone else. Are you ready to to put him to test?" he said.

"You're asking me to make your own brother jealous?" I asked not believing my ears.

"Yes.” he said.

"Seriously just like that.... you do know he has a girlfriend right?" I shot back.

"Yeah I do, the crazy red head who was missing from the past 5 months. Look she has nothing on you. He was Just with that kitty because she was there and you weren't and don't forget he's an i***t "he replied.

"I think her name is Katty" I replied.

"Look here Hill, I told you that you're so much better than her and you're correcting her name. I don't care if her name is kitty or Katty or the queen. What I'm telling you is that you're the one who should be with Cameron and not that kitten." he replied.

I thought about it long and hard. He's right if he didn't like me why did he kiss me? And how come the past month’s kitty's name never came up.

"Okay fine." I said and he cheered like a little kid who won the lottery.

"Wait wait wait, who’s gonna help me I mean how do I make him jealous?" I asked him.

"Leave that up to me, for now cheer up. Turn that frown up side down and get ready. We have dad's company's party to go to tonight and for the night you're my date." he said.

He left after that leaving me to thoughts and homework. I hadn't seen the boys rest of the day except Greg and thing 1 and 2.

I didn't even see Nate the rest of the day maybe he really is becoming a doctor Huh. Who knows?

It was two hours before the party here I was in my room with my closet wide open thinking of what to wear for now I've thought upon a deep blue Lacey top and black pants when the door knocked. I opened the door there stood Nate with a big dress bag in his hand and a girl behind him she was pretty with blonde hair and a friendly smile.

"Aqua this is Charlie she's the fiancé of a good friend of mine she's a stylist, Char this is Aqua you have a little Less than two hours to work your magic." He said and left after nodding us to be quick.

"Well Aqua, I've heard you're a bit of a tomboy but you don't need to worry about that. Nate filled me in a bit and I'm all in for Helping you out and just so you know we're going shopping tomorrow we need to fix up your wardrobe." she practically ordered me but I liked her she was good she fixed my hair and up she had my hair in a half tie do with half of it flowing on my back we talked all the while I found out a lot about her. she's 21 and has been Working for Stoow, a pretty brilliant brand since she was 19. She was lucky in getting the job early on and got engaged about 2 months ago.

After my hair and makeup, she showed me the dress it was a beautiful plum purple colour.

"Okay so here are your Pumps and you're done." she said when we were finally done.

"Thank you so much for your help.” I told her

"You can treat me some coffee for it tomorrow and don't worry I owed it to Nate." she replied smiling.

We head downstairs to see Drake and Jake both of them dressed in well suits with their hair combed back and Nate in a similar suit with a tie matching to my dress and all the three of them looked good

"I present to you." said Charlie when we reached half the stairs.

"Wow." Nate breath he looked star strucked

"Who's this?" I heard Drake whisper to Jake who hit the back of his head.

"You look beautiful." Nate said.

"Thanks." I replied with a little blush.

"Thanks Char." he said to Charlie as she left for the door she waved her hand and left.

"Ready to go?" he asked.

"The others have left." he added.

We Went outside and he Opened the door for me to much to my protest, to which he said you're my date tonight just go with it.

Thing 1 finally came to his senses and told me I looked like a knock out his words not mine.

We drove for a few minutes till we stopped in front of a hotel.

We got out of the car, he tucked my hands in his elbow before giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"Smile, He wouldn't know what hit him." he said before opening the door to enter
