"How do we do this?" Alex looked at Sophie for answers as they stood outside the blue studio flat. "Where's her room?" Sophie asked. Pointing to the backyard of the white picket fence home. The tinted huge glass windows and doors created panic between the two as they didn't know if anyone was watching them. Sophie dragged Alex to the backyard making sure to keep a low profile. They looked through the open window and into the room where Axteene was playing with her dolls. It seemed as if the timeline had restarted as her hair was still on her head. "s**t!" Alex looked at Sophie in confusion wondering why she was upset. "The timeline has restarted which means that younger Alex will come over for dinner any second!"
Alex grew worried looking around the yard to find something to help them. He looked at Sophie for a long time before it clocked to him. "Aren't you a Warlock?" She slapped him upside the head for asking such an obvious question. "No s**t Sherlock!" Alex frowned in pain, rubbing his recent bruise before continuing. "Well can't you teleport us inside?"
"No...that's f*******n, I can't use my magic for such circumstances or the timeline will change....do you have any other ideas?" They looked into the pink room once more with the stars falling from the ceiling and the blond little girl playing with her dolls, oblivious to what was going on outside. Alex looked around once more until he found a well. "There!"
"The well?" Brows raised at his findings.
Suddenly a doorbell rang and the two knew that they were running out of time. "Let's just hope that he didn't find the scissors." Alex looked at Sophie hoping the same. The two made their way over to the well that was about to overflow with water. Alex quickly took off his shirt, shorts, and shoes leaving him in just his undergarments. "Woah, Woah! what are you doing?"
"Just follow me," He dived into the freezing cold water praying that he could hold his breath long enough. Swiming further to the bottom of the well he looked behind him to see the white hair girl following. Her hair flowed gracefully in the depths of the dark water. There was no light that deep in the well and Alex began to panic as his links began to scream for air. Sophie noticed this, quickly swimming towards him and indicating a spell.
Alex accidentally took a breath and was surprised to not hole at the action, he realized that he could breathe normally and quickly saw to the floor of the well. At the base was a trap door which he tried to open, but the rusty metal was so heavy that it took both of them to let it budge. pulling the trap door open they were engulfed in the light again. However, it wasn't the moonlight, instead, it was the artificial light from Axteene's home. The tall chandeliers fell in the center of the room, illuminating the water below.
Alex finally reached the surface after following the light. Once he reached air he looked around glad that he made it in the poolroom of Axteene's home. "How did you know about this?"
"She took me there once...How are we gonna walk quietly with water dripping from our bodies?" Sophie looked around the porcelain tiled room to the towels that rested on the pool chairs. "There." They headed to the towels, drying themselves off until Alex noticed something. "Crap! Where's the note!"
"Oh, I have it," Sophie pulled the soggy note from her b*a incanting a spell to dry it. "You can use your magic to this but not teleport?" She sighed at Alex's words but only dragged him behind a huge plant just in time for Axteene's father, Lance to enter the room.
"Oh, nothing dear...I just thought I heard something, I'll be back in a sec." Sophie began to rub her nose before her mouth opened wide and her face clenched, ready to sneeze. Alex quickly covered her mouth and nose preventing them from getting caught. "Come on Lance! The guest is waiting!"
"Fine." The two waited a little until they were sure that the parents have left. "That was close." Sophie nodded in agreement. Alex grabbed Sophie's hand looking outside the pool room, realizing their predicament. the pool room was right beside the living room where the family along with the youngsters, played. "What are we gonna do?"
"Leave this to me," Sophie looked around the pool room once more before smiling she quickly gave Alex the note before dragging him back behind the plant and running right into the pool cannonballing!
"Sophie!" Alex whisper-yelled. Immediately, the whole squad came running inside the pool room, surprised at the commotion. they were all so focused on the pool that Alex snuck around them and went straight to Axteene's room.
"I told you something was strange!" Lance scolded his wife. Alex opened the glass door, looking around the pretty pink room before quickly dicing under the bed when he realized that younger him was picking the bathroom door with another scissor. "Crap!"
Younger Alex had a proud grin on his face as he opened the door, carrying hair remover with him. Alex looked back at the door, to the nob that was turning. Axteene was about to enter the room and Alex had to act fast. He swung from out of the bed before placing the note on top of Axteene's pillow and diving straight into her closet.
Younger Alex quickly exited the bathroom, closing it once more and sitting on her head innocently. The door finally opened to reveal Axteene, she looked at younger Alex confused before shrugging it off. "What are you doing here? let's go back to the Living room." The two ventured back into the living room and Alex looked to the open window and exited the closet. He jumped out landing perfectly and meeting up with Sophie. "Did you do it?" Sophie was now dey with her clothes on. With Alex's nod, Sophie pulled him in for a hug. "That was so exhilarating!"
"I know right! Let's just hope that it worked." Alex placed his clothes on with help from Sophie who chanted an incantation to dry him quicker. His words remained at the front of his head. He really did hope that it worked.
