Alex's P.O.V
What's happening to her?" I asked myself. I tried calling Elfie but he doesn't seem to want to come back. Sophie is on the ground seizing and crying. It's been happening for a while now. I don't know what to do. I kept rubbing the hourglass but the old wizard just wouldn't show up!
"Elfie!!" I yelled. I rushed to pick her up, slowly turning her on her side as she began to whisper something. At first it was incoherent but the more I listened the clearer her words were. "Stop-Alex-Dad-My fault!"
'Huh? What is she talking about?' I wondered? She kept repeating the same thing gradually getting louder with each chant. I was getting more worried by the second. It's like she's stuck in a nightmare, one that I wanted to pull her out of so badly and comfort her. She's my best friend after all. I rubbed the hourglass again hoping that the old man will finally make an appearance.
Finally, he appeared out of thin air. The clock draoed thick around his ankles and his white hair glistening in the light. His warm blue eyes were narrowed at me. He didn't look pleased at all but it was for the best. He furrowed his brows before looking at the floor at Sophie. His eyes widened as he rushed over.
"Why didn't you call me earlier!?" He yelled.
"Wow, like I don't try to call you over a hundred times!"
"What happened?" He asked.
"That's what I was going to ask you…..she just fell on the floor and began seizing before she starts mumbling some words but as soon as you arrived I haven't heard anything." I explained. His shaky hands touched her neck and then get chest probably feeling for a heartbeat. As soon as he did that, Sophie began chanting the same words again but this time she sounded sad instead of frightened.
It was as if she was crying? Why would she be? What's happening to her?
"Stop-Dad-Alex-My fault." Elfie eyes lit up in realization before a lol of pain flood his face. "Sh-she's in an induced dream. I can't help her but you can guide her. She seems to be blaming herself….do you know why?"
The memory of her telling that she's sorry for the paper mishap came to mind but I already reassured her that it wasn't her fault. Is she still blaming herself?
"Um, I think she's blaming herself for the paper warning." I told the wizard. He seemed to be in thought. His lips pulled into a tight grievance as his brows met in the middle forming a huge crease there.
Suddenly, he began to wave his hands in circular motions. Each rotation causing a spark that grew larger and larger until it looked like a ring of electricity. From that ring appeared a bowl of liquid. He placed his right hand through the ring pulling the bowl out of it before letting the ring fade.
"She can drink this for right now, it will help calm her but I need you to talk to her," He began. "Tell her it isn't her fault. Maybe then a path will be created for her so that she can leave."
We gathered around her. Ellie began to give her the water and I began to pull her into my arms."It wasn't your fault Sophie, come back."
My heart was beating too fast fast and my palms were sweaty. It's similar to the worry I feel for my mother. One things for sure, I had more worry for her than I would any of my friends. I just don't why.
Sophie's P.O.V
I could hear a faint whispering. It sounded like Alex, I couldn't be sure sure but it was something along the liens of 'It wasn't your fault.'
It us though. I'm the reason he feels such pain. I'm the reason why the people on my planet think that I'm just a troublemaker, never doing everything right and having daddy fixing my problems. The negative selection of myself was still holding onto me. Tears leaving it's eyes as I cried.
I felt a slight shiver run through my body and now I feel lighter as If I wasn't standing but that's impossible considering that I'm standing here.
Suddenly, my negative aura stopped crying. Its sharp claws loosing it's grip around me before it began to hiss. It's red eyes narrowed, as its hissses became louder. "What's the matter?" I asked it but it just kept hissing at something. That light feeling that I mentioned earlier got stronger by the second and Alex's whisper became down right coaxing.
His voice sent shivers down my spine as it felt as if he was speaking in my left ear. "It wasn't your fault Soph, please come back….I-I can't lose you too." The tears came down down harder as he pleaded for me.
My aura's hissing got louder as it gripped onto me, holding me close. "Don't leave! No!" It screamed. Jolts of eclectrity flooded through my body, rising every hair on my body until I felt cold water going down my esophagus.
What's happening? I asked no one in particular. I just couldn't figure out why I felt like this and why I'm hearing Alex's voice. "Come back…..please." He sounded pained. As if he was crying. Tears stained my cheeks as I spun around in search for the voice. "I don't know where you are Alex! Please help me!" I pleaded but my negative thoughts held me tighter unto l began to try and loosen it's grip.
Suddenly, it's sorrowful pleading turned into something darker, more dangerous….I don't think this thing is my emotions at all but something mocking them. The look on it's face changed from something that was peaceful and safe to something ugly..terrifying.
This wasn't real at all, the real world was waiting on me and I think it's time to go home and fix all of this.
