Sara’s pov
I had to find Selene.
I needed answers.
I got to her room in the Packhouse and knocked on the door.
There was a silence. And then the door moved slowly open.
“Sara,” she said, surprised. “It’s late.”
“Yes I know;” I said. “I wanted to see you. Can I come in?”
She swung the door open wider. “Come in.”
I nodded and walked in as I looked around her room and noticed the contrast between her bright room and my dark one.
I smiled. “So… How have things been? At the human city?”
She frowned at me. “How did you know I was there?”
I looked at her calmly. “I just… know things sometimes. You forget I’m a witch.”
She sighed and nodded. “Of course.”
I smiled, “I didn’t mean to scare you. I only wanted to know how your day went.”
She wouldn’t look up at me. “It wasn’t easy.”
