Selene’s pov I sat there in the car not making a sound. My fingers were interlocked tightly between my thighs. The car was quiet, only the muffled sound of the engine and tires against the road filled my ears. I looked at Dante sitting comfortably beside me with a hand on the steering and one on the door as it propped his head up. I wondered what he was thinking about. His knuckles were white as he gripped onto the steering like it owed him money. The focus in his eyes were dangerous. I tried to say something but I didn’t know what to say. Maybe thank him.
