Writer's pov
The witch needed to get close to Selene before she could read her and get to know who she really is, but while standing close to each other the witch could sense a strong aura coming from Selene making it very obvious that she isn't just a normal girl. Selene has something inside her that not every normal girl would have which makes the witch even more curious about who she really is.
Selene was too scared to stand in front of the witch without running away but because of the way she ran the last time she decided to wait and hear what the witch has to say but the only problem is that she can't go too close to the witch.
