Dante's POV
Dante was concerned about the way Selene spoke to him a few minutes ago; he hated it so much that he sounded like he only cared about the baby and not the person carrying the baby. Even though he didn't really care about her, he didn't want her to feel that way because it would seem selfish of him.
“Was I too strict back there?” Dante asked his Beta curiously.
“When have you ever been strict with your subjects?” Dante sat down on the couch, and his Beta handed a glass of juice over to him. Dante took a sip of it.
Hearing what his Beta said, he realized he was putting too much meaning into the little conversation he just had with Selene because if he wasn't strict with her, then it meant they'd keep violating his orders.
