Selene’s pov “Come,” he said. “Let’s eat breakfast together.” I rose and joined him. He smiled and waited for me to move beside him. White walls were around us as we walked through the pack house, a beautiful day overseeing the windows. Some guards bowed their heads as he passed them, nodding back at them but still keeping his eyes on me. Once we reached the dining, I gasped softly. The table was full. Eggs, meats, fruits, fresh bread, cheese, sweet cakes; it looked like a feast for ten people; not two. “Is this… all for breakfast?” I asked, my eyes nearly popping out of my head. He laughed and held a chair out for me. “Yes, that’s it. A typical wolf feast.” I lowered myself into the chair and continued to gape at all the food.
