Chapter 10

''So we're here'' I said as she got down from the bike

''Wow, I am totally in love with the exterior'' she said running to open the front door before she realised it was locked. I had started locking the front door ever since what happened with Maia.

''Sorry, its locked. Catch'' I said and threw her a key which she caught with suprising ease as she was a distance from me and I didn't see her as a sports person.

''What?'' she said noticing me stare at her

''Nothing, its just the way you caught it.'' I said waalking up to the door as she wiggled the key inside.

''Yeah, what about it?'' she asked taking a quick glimse at me before opening the door and going in.

''You are just really good at it. I did not take you as a sporty person'' I said hoping that she didn't take offense.

''I have four things to say right now'' she said with a wide grin staring at me.

''Yeah, whats that?'' I asked confused

''First, that was sterotypical of you to say. Many people who aren't into sports are good at catching stuff. Second, a lot of people don't take me for the sporty kind. Third, I am so into tennis and basketball and I am in both clubs at school. And the last is'' she said giggling aat me for a reason I did not understand.

''What? Do I have a joke written on my face? Or did you just imagine me being pranked?'' I asked jokingly

''Ha! Actually...'' she said with a sad and dissapointed look on her face. Which made me think that she had actually taken offence to what I said and for some reason, it really affected me and I felt really guilty and felt like I had ignored a Grandma who needed help crossing the road.

''June, I'm sorry, I didn't mean-'' I started but was confused when she burst into laughter, completely ruining the apology I was about to give.

''Your living room is so amazing!'' she screamed and ambushed me with a hug

''That was what you were about to say?'' I said opening my mouth as if I wanted to say something but I just felt cheated for some reason. I made an entire speech in my head.

''Yeah, but seriously lets go round the house'' she said grabbing my arm and walking  towards the dining room where our fridge was.

''This looks really expensive'' she said touching the fridge and then our marble dining table.

''Yeah, it is but I have a few rules about the fridge.'' I said making sure she understood me

''Yeah, anything.'' she said excitedly

''So everything in the fridge is open for sharing except the wed wine. My dad treasures it a lot and it is not in my place to share. I hope you understand.'' i said, hoping she did.

''I do, besides you have done a lot for me already. I should be thanking you.'' she said with a smile.

''Its alright'' I said blushing because I felt uncomfortable having her thank me like that.

''Let me show you your room'' I said leading her to the room directly opposite Maia's locked room. I got a key out of my bag and unlocked it. I already knew her bedsheets and pillows would be there and that it was tidy. I always checked incase U had guests at short notice and I didn't have time to clean up. The room was moderately big in size. It had wooden floor boards and a dressing table and mirror. It had two bedside tables on both sides of the queen sized bed. It also had its own bathroom which included a heatable shower, toilet and sink. The room was painted in a creamy kind of peach color and I though she would like it.

''Whoa'' she said and couldn't keep her eyes off the room. She went inside touching and examining everything excitedly. And she stared for some moments at the artworks on the wall. Then she turned back to me and with the sweetest smile I had ever seen her do, she said,

''Thank you so much, I don't know how I would repay you. Not many people would invite someone they just met into their home'' she said

I blushed for what seemed like eternity before I managed to say, ''The only thing you can do is bring a good friend''

''Of course'' she said and then I continued.

''Just so I know, you aren't really bringing any clothes, aren't you?'' I asked after I got a feeling that something else was off.

''Actually, I don't. But I could just wear these again'' she said humbly and then added, ''I'll go and freshen up now'' with a smile

''Ok, here'' I said passing her the key of her room and leaving.

As I left to have my own bath, I couldn't help but feel that I had to help. When I was done bathing, I I searched my wardrobe for clothes that I hadn't worn, and they were quite a lot. So I packed them for her, because she needed them more than I did and I could always get more. I also added some shoes, skincare products, perfume, make up and things similar to those. We were about the same size, so I added some lingerie that I had never worn.

I wore my clothes before I went to knock on her door. She was wearng a robe that she must have got from the bathroom and trying to dry her hair with a towel when she opened the door,

''I don;t mean to disturb or anything but I just thought you would need this''I said handing her the bag and saw her face light up when she saw what was in it. Then I continued,

''Don't worry, they are all new and the washing machine is in the kitchen if you need anything more,'' I said and was startled when she hugged me but I gave in and hugged her back and she whisperd in my ear, ''Thanks, it means a lot'' and I went out.

After thinking for a while about what to do, I decided to continue binging on The Vampire Diaries on Netflix and eat some popcorn.

''Hey'' she said as she came out of her room

''Hi'' I mumbled with my mouth filled with popcorn while I was on the couch.

''What are you watching?'' she asked

''The vampire diaries'' I answered after I had swallowed the popcorn in my mouth

''OMG! Really? I totally love that series'' she said and excitedly sat down next to me.

''Well, I guess we have that in common'' I said getting up to pass her the extra bowl of popcorn that was idly sitting on the dining table.

''Thanks. Who is your favourite character?'' she asked

''Well, I have a lot of favorites. But I would say Elena and Katherine'' I answered with a laugh then added, ''What of you?''

''I think Caroline and Bonnie but they are all really cool. If you could choose one person to date, who would it be?'' she asked

''Well, it would obviously be Damon. He is like so hot and the ideal vampire'' I said sounding so girly

''I guess he is hot but I would choose Klaus'' she said

''I guess we both have hot dudes. Lets watch.'' I said as we turned to face the tv and occasionally made comments and laughs.
