Late one night, I receive a message in the w******p group: "Hey @1302, can you guys tone it down a bit? You're keeping us up every night! If you can't help it, at least keep it down. We have kids here!"

I am stunned. Isn't it our newly-renovated marital house? My girlfriend and I have never lived here before.

Chapter 1
1. "I had been dating Anna Noel, my girlfriend for two years. She was beautiful, gentle, and considerate, and in two months, we were supposed to get married. "But that guy was right next door. I couldn't have misheard, could I? And there's no way it could've been a burglar, right?" I was stunned. That was our new place—the one I just finished renovating. But Anna and I had never stayed there! My mind was a whirlwind as I drove straight to the house. I searched every corner and finally found a few dried white spots on the carpet near the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was unmistakably from a man. My blood surged to my head in an instant. Anna Noel had cheated on me. The entire house, from the design to the decor, was according to Anna's taste. Apart from paying for everything, I hadn't really been involved, nor had I spent much time there. We had agreed to move in after the wedding, but apparently, she had been using it as her rendezvous spot. The thought of her with another man, in our new home, made me feel sick to my stomach. No wonder she'd been coming home late recently, always saying she wasn't in the mood when I tried to get close to her. So this was why—she had been getting f****d by someone else! I wanted to storm up to Anna, grab her by the hair, and demand answers, maybe even slap her a few times. But I forced myself to calm down, biting down hard on my teeth. I needed to find out who the other man was first. Exposing her now would be too easy on her. I sent Anna a message. [Are you home? I'm at the new place. I'll be home later.] Sure enough, as soon as I sent the message, Anna called me. I ignored it. She called again. I ignored it again. I bet she's panicking now, scared that I might have found out something. This wedding might be off, but those two wouldn't get off easily! Dragging this out would surely hurt her more. I would take it slow. 2. I acted normal when I got home. Anna looked relieved, seeing that I wasn't acting suspicious. After a few casual words, I headed to the bedroom. Just thinking about her lying under another man made her seem filthy to me. As soon as I finished showering, she threw herself at me with a blushing face. I used to love how pure she seemed. Now, it just disgusted me. Resisting the urge to throw her to the floor, I just said I'd been busy with the store lately. She complained, "What's so important about your shitty store?" Anna was an intern teacher at Riverside School, while I ran a building materials business. She always acted superior, always belittling my work. But that didn't give her the right to cheat on me! I didn't sleep at all that night, combing through all her social media accounts. 'Who is the guy? How long has this been going on? Are all those business trips and vacations just cover-ups for their meetups?' I had no clues, and the thought of being cuckolded for so long made me slap myself. The next morning, after Anna left for work, I arranged to have a few hidden cameras set up. I placed one in every room of the new house, even on the balcony. Right around the time Anna would be getting off work, I called her and told her I was coming to pick her up. She immediately refused, "No need, I have something to do. I'll go back later on my own." By the time I reached the school, the students were just getting out. I waited for nearly an hour before Anna finally strolled out. She looked around cautiously, walking two blocks before getting into a black Range Rover. As soon as she got in, she wrapped her arms around the man in the car and gave him a passionate kiss. The side profile of the man looked familiar to me. After racking my brain for a while, it hit me! The man was Steward Locke, the principal of Riverside School. He was reputed for his strong leadership skills, and the school had the highest graduation rates year after year. Despite being middle-aged, he didn't have a beer belly or a receding hairline. He was the type of older man that many women found attractive. But Steward was at least 40 years old, a good 15 years older than Anna. She really didn't mind the age difference, huh? 'No wonder Anna has lost interest in me; she has landed herself a big fish! It's one thing to cheat, but to do it in the house I paid for? That's a deliberate slap in my face! If that's the way it is, then none of us are going to have it easy!' 3. The Range Rover drove straight to our new house, and as they reached the underground parking lot, I turned on the cameras I had installed. The moment they entered, they were all over each other, hungrily kissing their way to the couch, leaving a trail of clothes behind. Anna was wearing sheer lingerie, a side of her I had never seen before. It wasn't until they got down to business that I understood why the neighbor had complained. The usually shy Anna, who blushed when I touched her, was now riding Steward and spewing words that shocked me. Steward gripped her waist tightly, "Does your boyfriend know you're this wild? Are you going to do it with him on this couch too?" "Louder! I'd love to see your boyfriend's expression if he saw you like this!" He then smacked Anna hard on the butt, making her moan and collapse onto him. "Why do you talk about him? Mood killer! The only reason I'm still with him is because he's generous with his money; or I would've kicked him to the curb already. I just love men like you—mature, charming, and with such stamina... He could never compare to you. When that hanging chair is installed, we'll try it out on that…" Steward flipped her over onto the couch, and a few minutes later, he carried her over to the floor-to-ceiling windows. I had indeed been generous with Anna. I covered all our expenses, never saying no to anything she wanted. I thought it was important to treat the person you plan to marry well, and women should be pampered. But clearly, with someone like Anna, the nicer you were, the more she pushed her limits. She took advantage of my kindness and turned into a spoiled brat! The thought made my liver ache with anger. I saved the video and immediately called up a few friends. If nothing else, I was confident in my connections. After a few rounds of drinks, I had gathered enough information about Steward. His wife was a corporate executive, often working out of town, and his son was a troublemaker—supposedly a college student, but just barely scraping by to get his degree. I bought a disposable phone and sent Steward's wife some messages. [You don't need to come back anymore. I'll take good care of Steward for you. You wouldn't believe how much he loves me!] [Steward says he'd die happy in my bed. Poor you!] When she didn't reply, I sent another message. [Old hag! Saggy boobs and a waist like a barrel!] This time, she replied. [Sweetheart, he's just a man. I don't care. He has his life, I have mine.] [But don't you dare insult me. I'm 5'6", 36D, and my waist is 22 inches—and I've had a child.] I was stunned. Her figure was indeed perfect. 4. But this wasn't what I had expected. I thought she'd be furious, demanding to know who I was, ready to confront me. Steward's wife seemed different from the rest. So, I shifted my focus to his son. Harlan Locke, a freshman at the local university, played basketball at the stadium every weekend. On Saturday, Anna left the house in high spirits, reminding me as she walked out the door, "Don't forget to tell your parents and mine about tomorrow's dinner. Make sure you make a good impression, or else my parents will start criticizing you again." It was just another attempt by her parents to get more money out of me. I had no interest in that now, so I changed into my workout clothes and headed to the stadium. Getting along with guys is easy. After a few words, I joined their game. Harlan had a bit of a temper. When someone accidentally bumped into him, he punched them hard enough to give them a bloody nose. During the break, I went to buy a few bottles of water and sat down next to Harlan. I listened as they gossiped about school, fantasized about girls, and discussed which girls had sugar daddies. I couldn't help but interject, "That's nothing. I've got a friend working at Riverside School who says the principal is hooking up with a student teacher!" Harlan turned to look at me, and so did his friends. "And that principal is married. His son's already in college, and the girl's got a boyfriend too. They're about to get married!" I was just short of saying Steward's name, but sure enough, Harlan took the bait. "Do you know the principal's name?" I shook my head, "Why? are you interested? I could give you my friend's w******p. He knows more than I do." Harlan looked thoughtful, then handed me his phone. He added what was actually my burner account. Mission accomplished, I made up an excuse to leave. Once I got to the car, I switched to my burner account. Almost as soon as I opened it, he sent me a message. Harlan asked about Riverside School, beating around the bush. After a bit of back-and-forth, I sent him a photo. It was the one I took of Steward and Anna kissing in the car that day. The faces weren't clear, but Harlan should recognize his dad's car. 5. Since I had no intention of going through with the wedding, I certainly wasn't going to bring my parents to dinner. Anna's parents' expressions darkened the moment they saw I was alone. "Stanley Childe, with an attitude like that, you think you can marry my daughter? What, do we have to personally invite your parents to join us?" I quickly poured Anna's father some wine, "Of course not. My parents just couldn't make it, but we've already discussed the wedding plans." Her mother rolled her eyes, "What's keeping you so busy at that little shop?" She didn't give me a chance to respond, "Our Anna is beautiful and kind. She may not have graduated from a prestigious university, but she's got a bachelor's degree. There are plenty of guys lining up for her." Then she added, "Anna will eventually become a permanent teacher. At least it's a stable job at a school. Now, while you run your own business, your income can be unpredictable, right? As parents, we just want our daughter to be happy. Anna likes you, so of course, we'll support her. But your family should show some sincerity, so we can feel secure to entrust our daughter to you, right?" At the end, it was all about money. Anna's family was middle-class. Her mom was a housewife, and her dad worked in the fruit business. Their greatest asset was Anna, whom they treated like a princess. When I first started dating Anna, her parents weren't too keen on me, thinking that owning a small building materials store wouldn't make much money. But when my family bought a new house for our marriage in full, they finally eased up and started pushing for us to pay for the wedding as well. I gave an awkward smile, "Mrs. Noel, you're right. There's actually something I haven't told you yet. My family owns ten stores across the city. The one I manage now is just one of them; the others are all under my dad's name. But I'm an only child, and my dad said he'd transfer everything to me after I get married. Even on a slow month, we can easily make a million or so." This wasn't a lie; it was the truth. Anna and her parents were stunned, looking at me in disbelief. "R-Really?" "Of course it's true. You can verify it if you want." If I'm going to spin a story, might as well make it a big one. I took a sip of lemon juice and continued, "Our family plans to spend 100 grand on the wedding and buy a two-hundred-thousand-dollar car. The house was bought outright, so Anna won't need to worry about mortgage payments. And when we have a kid, we can think about buying another house." At this point, I took Anna's hand and said, "Marrying Anna is a blessing for me. I'll make sure she lives a good life without any worry. And after we're married and have kids, if Anna doesn't want to work anymore, she can just take over as the lady boss of my store and handle all the finances!" After hearing my promises, her parents' faces practically split from smiling, but I couldn't hide the sarcasm in my eyes. "Good, good! I knew Anna had made a wise choice to marry you! Stanley, you're gonna be a big boss!" Anna squeezed my hand, gazing at me with affection. "Thank you, darling. I know you are the best!" Her dad eagerly poured me a drink, and her mom handed me desserts. 'Let them revel in this happiness while it lasts, before the truth comes out.' Since Anna realized my family's true wealth, her attitude shifted significantly. It was as if showing me a little kindness was a grand favor, but I wasn't having any of it. For the next few days, she was visibly downcast. I knew why. Ever since Harlan saw the photo I sent, he and his buddies had been staking out Steward's school every day. Maybe because Steward wasn't giving her what she needed, Anna tried every trick in the book to seduce me at night. Too bad for her—I'd rather die than touch her. Seeing her sulking, I leaned in and pretended to be affectionate. "I just installed a hanging chair on the balcony of our new home. Wanna go check it out?" Anna's mood instantly shifted, and she nodded excitedly. On the way there, she kept fiddling with her phone. It was obvious she was texting Steward. 'Ha, does she think it'll be more thrilling to mess around with that scumbag on the chair I installed with my own hands?' When we arrived at the new house, just as Anna was about to open the door, I pressed the doorbell to the neighbor's apartment. I wrapped my arm tightly around Anna's shoulders, "The guy next door helped me out the other day. I just wanted to thank him." When the neighbor opened the door, I handed him a pack of cigarettes. "Hey, man. I'm from next door. I'm really sorry about what happened the other day." The neighbor waved his hand dismissively, his gaze lingering on Anna before shifting back to me. "Is this your girlfriend? I could've sworn the guy she came with last time wasn't you."
